Sun's Jewelry & Clock — Local services in Hampton

GRADE "F".....I wish there was a lower rating than a 1-star!

As a retired and disabled "African-American", I went to Sun's Jewelry as a "first-time" customer to have a cuckoo clock repaired......(It was left to me by my father, who passed, and I wanted something to give me fond memories of him.)

Well, after waiting over "A MONTH AND A HALF", and hearing absolutely NOTHING from them, I made a call and they informed me that it would be ready in "TWO" weeks.......

Unbelievably, I gave them "THREE" weeks and "again", I had to call "them"!!!???.....They never called me EVEN ONCE!

Finally, yesterday, I just stopped by there to see the progress on the repair and I was SHOCKED to say the least.

The clock was still sitting there, on the floor, "IN THE SAME BOX", WRAPPED IN THE SAME BUBBLE WRAP", that I had put it in when I first took it to them!.......

Obviously, they HAD NEVER LOOKED AT IT!!

You would think a "first-time" customer, would be treated in a way, that would make that person a "repeat" customer and to spread a good word about their business!!!?

I DO "NOT" RECOMMEND THIS UNPROFESSIONAL, UNCARING AND SHAMEFUL BUSINESS TO ANYONE AND I WILL NEVER GO BACK THERE AGAIN!

Dropped off 3 watches for battery replacement and adjusted one band. When I came to pick up my watches, they couldn’t find them first, took both of them about 15 minutes, then once they did, it was in pieces. they told me my Movado watch was broken and it would cost $200 dollars to repair! I’ve only had the watch for two years and only wear the watch on rare occasions (maybe once or twice a year) and lts stored in its original box. I find this very strange. Sun's jeweler always does a great job with my repairs. I have been taking my jewelry to them for years and they are always quick to repair and reasonable in their prices.

This time I took one of favorite pieces, a sterling silver .925 beaded necklace with a toggle closure that I had broken. It took them less than 1 week to repair and it cost me only $25.00.
