UPDATE , next day: something is really wrong with this lady. She’s very manipulative. She changed her apologetic response to this nonsense. I had to come back to check bc I knew it was too good to be true. Takes 0 accountability to criticism. Just like another reviewer said, look at the way she responds . Had to post my hair texture to prove a point. I have 4a-4b hair. But even if I had 4c hair, you are just making yourself look worse. Why would shampoo 4c hair 3 times like a washing machine, not use conditioner, use water-like leave in with a dollar tree comb and think you’re doing something? I can’t read the rest. All I have to say is if you genuinely care about building a future in the hair business, do some serious reflecting on your attitude to criticism. ————————— Babbyyy— if you have hair on your head or want to grow your real hair out, RUN. FOR YOUR LIFE. I don’t know what beauty school this lady graduated from, but they should be ashamed. I have seen WHITE STYLISTS handle black hair better than this hairstylist (dark skinned heavy-set lady—potentially Kole, the owner I believe). I am truly at a loss for words and semi-traumatized from my experience. The pictures seemed somewhat up to par and all I wanted was a simple wash, blow dry, and trim. Easy enough service to test if you trust a new hairstylist with your hair right? WRONG.
ENTRANCE: First, I walk-in all happy and smiling—ready to support this black-owned business in my neighborhood. I don’t get a greeting/hello or anything. The person who I eventually realize is my stylist looks annoyed that there’s a customer (who she has little of as it was COMPLETELY EMPTY in there for being one of the only salons open in the Atlanta area on New Years). Strike one.
SERVICE, PREP: My hair is in an old blow out state, 80% straight and very easy to detangle. She takes my hair out of the bun and doesn’t comb or brush through it at all—straight to shampooing… I think “hmm that’s weird but everyone has their own strategy. Let me trust the process.” What a mistake that was…
SERVICE, SHAMPOO: I have never seen/experienced anything like it. You could feel how little she cared through her hands. You know how people say “the shampoo is the best part of the salon.” Not here. It literally felt like she was washing clothes. So uncomfortable and hurt at times from how she was rubbing my hair everywhere . I didn’t know it was possible for shampooing to hurt but you learn something new every day (not tender headed). Strike 2.
My hair was bone dry when I came in. In serious need of a reset. She shampooed my hair 2-3 times, NO CONDITIONER. I’m gasping as I’m re-living this; I could pass out from the audacity lol. I didn’t give her a strike for this in the moment. I thought maybe I was going back eventually. Maybe that was just her process and I’d be back at the bowl for conditioner but NOPE! Later it came out that she fully intended on not putting actual conditioner in my hair for the service. —Again, what school did she go to??
DETANGLE: I look in mirror as I’m sitting down in the chair and I have NEVER seen my hair this matted and shriveled up in my life. I’m thinking to myself “What is this?!?! She started SO WRONG. It’s all about how you start. Everything is WRONG. But.. trust the process..” HUGE MISTAKE. Then this lady pulls out a $2 comb from the Dollar Store/Walmart and proceeds to RIP through my hair. I hear strands snap as she’s parts and haphazardly detangles. Jumping in the chair as I’m hearing the rip, she’s thinks it’s from me being in pain but it’s from me being traumatized. Not a CARE in the world, this lady begins ripping all up, down, and through my hair. As if it’s cool??? Are you okay?? Strike 3. I’m out! (My hair is easy to detangle when handled properly)
I love myself too much to allow someone that does not care to continue to rip through and handle my hair like that—my crowning glory, every woman’s crowning glory. As I’m preparing to leave, I asked if she conditioned my hair. She said “no…

Read moreI entered this place for the first time where there is a sidewalk sign that features a Wednesday special for airport employees $50 Gel Maní & Pedi. I confirmed the special with a staff member that was there and she directed me to NINI a semi-uninterested nail tech who maintained a phone conversation during my service. None of the usual pleasantries were given. The place has a color scheme but lackluster ambiance. You are sitting in a high chair at a shared table space with unorganized nail paraphernalia laying around. For my pedicure I sat upright on a bench NOT a spa chair. The outcome of my nails was sufficient. But the service was unorthodox, I didn’t receive the customary nail soak or cuticle pusher. Everything was mediocre but I attributed that to receiving the “Wednesday Special.“ I stayed to be supportive and because of desperation. However, I was deceived at the end when told that the special ended in 2023 BUT the owner would take 10%off the new 2024 price of $80. The owner who was there never approached me with this information or acknowledged this oversight. She was too involved in getting her nails done. I paid $75 and figured that’s what I would have paid with the tip. The lack of professionalism or nail salon expectancies but wanting premium pricing does not make this a desirable...
Read moreOmg I found it! A Black owned salon😆. This has been the best experience since being in Georgia! I just moved to the area and was blessed to find this one stop shop!! I came and got a pedicure featuring their Deluxe Pedicure service and babbbyyyy When i say i felt like i was floating!!! My feet felt so good, so mositurzed and hydrated! It smelled like chocolate like my feet really felt and look edible👌🏾.
The ladies where so nice and welcoming, I was offered a beverage either water with lemon, wine or a shot of course i went with Wine lol and even though my pedicurist was thorough it did not take long at all.
On top of pedicure, I received a gel manicure and a wash and deep condition on my natural hair and I left feeling refreshed head to toe, literally! I had the privilege of being serviced by the owner herself for my wash and deep conditioning and when I say I almost feel asleep; it felt so good. She was gentle and thorough as well.
I definitely will be back i found my ONE STOP SHOP!!!😆
Thank you so much! Shout out to Ivy and Felicia for my nails...
