Updated review. I came in and had an appointment with John, he did a great job, shape was perfect, he took his time and cut my cuticles properly. No complaints this time.
Hopefully I'll be able to update my review on my next visit. The shop is beautiful, I went on opening day, shortly after they opened. The shop manager was very nice and attentive. I had a short wait for a pedicure and manicure as I didn't make an appointment. I'm unsure of the person that did my pedicure, she didn't really speak or say hello, she rushed through my pedicure, i don't care how many people are waiting, I can't stand when people do a rush stop, quantity over quality, she didn't even clean up the polish on my skin (noticed after) she finished and told me to wait 5 minutes. I am assuming someone else is going to come to do my mani. I waited over 30 minutes and no one came over, when i saw the nail tech next to me also do the manicure on the person she just did the pedicure for, I then asked what was going on. I'm not sure what happened with the communication, but I was seated for my manicure, but no one apologized. An older woman was assigned to do my manicure, my shape was not how I wanted it and after several times of attempting to correct it, I was over it, my nails grow fast, so next time I'll go to someone else. She also tried to talk me out of my shape, saying that my nails will split and crack with the shape I was asking for. I've had this shape for 2 years after changing from the shape she recommended and I've never had any problems, I also have very hard and strong nails. I had to double down on the shape that I wanted, I shouldn't have to argue for the shape and then it's still wrong. Also she trimmed only the sides of my cuticles not the base, and when i asked her, she said something about it being even and she didn't need to do that or use the cuticle pusher. If i go back it won't be to those 2 techs. There was a man who has arm tattoos, he seemed to do a good job. I'll ask for him or...
Read moreThis nail salon recently opened near my home. My usual nail salon is about 20 minutes from my home, so I was anxious to check out the new shop closer to me. When I arrived, I patiently waited for the group of ladies ahead of me to let the guy at the front desk know what they wanted. Once it was was my turn, I told him I just needed a polish change on my toes. He asked if I wanted a pedicure, I told him "no, just a polish". He laughed and walked away, I asked if there was an issue. He said "no, but for just a polish, it's going to be a long wait," still laughing. I said, you could have told me that, and not walk away laughing. He tried to defend his actions, but I told him "no worries, I won't be back". My issue - I realize it's not an expensive service but it's still a service they offer, so treat it as such. No need to be dismissive or rude to the customer (me) because I didn't come in asking for the works, (pedi/mani). I recently had a pedicure and simply wanted to change my polish from a shade of blue to yellow.
Needless to say, thanks to the guy at the front desk I will never go back. I was able to go a few doors down to Diamond Nails & Spa for a quick polish change. All they asked, with no problem - gel or regular?
Update & Responding to the Business Response, 6/30: The laugh/smile, while walking away was not warmth, it was dismissive & rude. I only got his attention again because I asked if there was an issue. Additionally, he never checked me in. Had I been properly informed of the wait time initially, before being laughed at, I would have made my decision to leave or stay. You should address the issue with your staff member, instead of trying to defend...
Read moreI came here around mid to late 6 on a Thursday afternoon for a pedicure (for my bf) & a fill in (for me). The shop is pretty & clean but I didn’t see any chairs that could be sat in while waiting, I ended up waiting in my car. All of the workers were nice, however I wasn’t able to enjoy the experience. My nails were rushed. The actual starting process of my fill-in was around 7:05, I was finished within 30 minutes. While leaving, I noticed that the old polish color (or maybe acrylic) hadn’t been taken off completely, as I could see it under the nail. There are bubbles in the gel. Both hands were not given the same amount of time under the LED lamp. Before I even finished with the LED lamp, the tech was already moved on to another customer. I had to hit the button again myself. I didn’t even receive cuticle oil or lotion on my hands at the end. Being that this was a new nail salon in the area, I was excited to try it only to feel that my experience was not as lavish as I had hoped. I paid $40 for a fill in (including gel color) & $10 for a mid french tip. The prices are decent, I just wish that the...
