I visited this salon in November of 2019 for my birthday. I requested and received a mani-pedi and my partner did as well. The tech who did my pedicure was very friendly despite very limited English & a language barrier. The tech who did my manicure was not friendly. The quality of my pedicure was adequate. She was on the phone the entire time of doing the manicure. When I asked if she could trim my nails lower, she shortly replied, "No." I was surprised. A few moments later, she added, "I cannot because of your cuticle (explaining that she could not do so because she would damage my cuticle). Her body language was as though she was thoroughly annoyed. Before completing my mani, she asked if I would pay, which I am accustomed to and therefore was willing to do. However, being this was my 1st visit & I did not want my card to be taken away out of my sight to be swiped for payment, I asked if I could accompany her to the front desk while my payment was being made. Despite me asking repeatedly in a kind, respectful manner, she simply replied, "No" again, after each request. After several rounds of this, she finally agreed. I tipped well, mainly due to the service I received by my pedicurist, but will not return and will only be supporting Black-owned nail salons in the future where I will not be treated like a number. This tech also did not check in with me to ensure that my nails were dry despite being in a message chair on her phone. When I was ready to leave, I asked a male tech (simply because he was closer to me) if he'd check to make sure my nails were dry. He impatiently told me to ask another tech. (To be fair, he was working on another pedicure). Read moreIt is not always easy to walk in off the street and ask for an appointment and get any kind of vibe about a place. But that’s exactly what I did. I was made to feel comfortable that I could come back in an hour and get an Acrylic fill-in and a pedicure. It was a little confusing it first and there was some language barrier understanding what was being offered off the menu for the pedicures, but I chose the jelly spelled JELLI foot bath with the hot stone and massage pedicure. And wow! And I do mean WOW! That was the best thing I ever done to my feet. But it didn’t stop there. No one has ever done a better job on my feet. that was the cleanest tidiest, most perfect pedicure foot massage foot soak, stone, massage, wax foot wrap, clean nail and I’ve ever had in my life. Now, to boot, while Jenny was taking care of my feet Snow jumped in and started my acrylic fill-in with a gel finish- exactly the way I wanted it right down to the finish—a slightly rounded look that you get on the curve of the nail-bed so they look very “natural.” Thus the Natural Nails. There was no reason for these gals to think that I was ever going to come back and they could’ve handled me and taken care of me anyway that they wanted because I was at their mercy. But they treated me like I was the most important person that walked through the door that day. So much so that I almost forgot that I wasn’t, as they were very, very busy. Anyone who lives close to this Nails spa and doesn’t take advantage of it you’re missing a real opportunity to be well. Serviced and get...
Read moreDO NOT GO HERE UNLESS YOU HAVE ALL DAY TO WAIT AROUND
I made an appointment for 11 AM for a mani/pedi the day prior for my girlfriend and I. We walked in just prior to 11 AM and saw the 2 employees doing pedicures for other customers and were directed to wait for a bit as they finished up. Shortly after, another customer walked in and the employees told her to sign in and made no mention of how long a wait would be. Then the employees directed my girlfriend and I (around 11:15) into the massage chairs to make it seem like we were up soon. Several other customers had come up at this point and were all waiting and the employees still have not mentioned to anyone about what a time estimate is.
Around 11:30, the employees heard my girlfriend and I talking about going somewhere else as we are 30 minutes past our appointment time now and that was the first time they mentioned something about their other coworker being stuck in traffic on the way in. At 11:40, we left as we knew of another salon that had availability with more staff.
All in all, the customer service was poor. There was no priority given to us having made an appointment the day prior and it seemed they were just trying to string us along as best they could with no regard for our time...
