I recently had the pleasure of dining at the restaurant located in the lobby of a hotel, and I must say, it was a delightful experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and friendly service, setting the tone for a wonderful evening.
The menu offered a variety of options, but I couldn't resist trying their dry rub wings and Brussels sprouts. Let me tell you, they did not disappoint! The wings were perfectly seasoned with a flavorful dry rub that had just the right amount of kick. Each bite was a burst of deliciousness, and I found myself reaching for more even after I was full. The Brussels sprouts were a surprising highlight as well. They were cooked to perfection, with a slight crispiness on the outside and a tender, melt-in-your-mouth texture on the inside. The combination of flavors and textures in this dish was simply outstanding.
Another standout dish was their crab cake. As a seafood lover, I have high expectations when it comes to crab cakes, and this one exceeded them. The crab cake was packed with generous chunks of succulent crab meat, perfectly seasoned and delicately pan-fried to a golden brown. It was served with a tangy remoulade sauce that complemented the crab cake beautifully. Each bite was a heavenly blend of flavors, and I savored every mouthful.
Aside from the delectable food, the service was impeccable. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely friendly. They went above and beyond to ensure that my dining experience was enjoyable, and their warm hospitality added an extra layer of comfort to the meal.
The ambiance of the restaurant was also worth mentioning. The cozy and inviting atmosphere, coupled with the elegant decor, created a pleasant and relaxed dining environment. Whether you're looking for a casual meal or a special occasion, this restaurant provides the perfect setting.
Overall, my experience at the restaurant in the hotel lobby was exceptional. The friendly service, tasty food, and standout dishes like the dry rub wings, Brussels sprouts, and crab cake made it a memorable dining experience. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a delightful meal with...
Read moreOverall, the experience left a lot to be desired, though nothing was outright egregious. Booking/Reservation We booked on OpenTable, but don’t bother—they don’t use it. We had a party of six with a reservation for 7:00, but weren’t seated until about 7:25/7:30. The frustrating part was that the table they finally sat us at had been empty the whole time 🫤. Service Our waitress greeted us warmly and explained she had to finish with a large party before taking our orders. She returned about 15–20 minutes later and let us know we’d have to order alcoholic drinks directly at the bar 🫤. After another 25–30 minutes of waiting and chatting, we finally got up to order drinks. It then took another 20 minutes at the bar to receive two glasses of wine and two cocktails. To be fair, the bartender seemed to be covering the entire bar alone. By the time we got back, the food had just started to arrive—roughly 45 minutes after we ordered. Food The food was underwhelming. The salads were fine but forgettable. The “smoked wings” were not smoked at all—just plain fried wings, cooked a little too hard but edible. Both short ribs entrees at our table were returned because they were dry, tough, and inedible. One side of mac and cheese never arrived, though the other sides were decent. Desserts were probably the best part of the meal. Price For the quality of service and food, the prices felt steep. With a party of six, gratuity was added automatically. In typical Atlanta fashion, it wasn’t clearly disclosed—it just appeared as a casual line item in the tax section. I support gratuity and believe staff should be paid fairly, but I wish restaurants would label it clearly as “additional gratuity” instead of simply “gratuity” in the fill-in portion of the check. Atmosphere The atmosphere was fine—about what you’d expect for a hotel restaurant.
Overall I tried to give grace since they had a large party and were clearly understaffed, but in my opinion they should block reservations they can’t...
Read moreService: terrible Waitress: Brie
We had a very disappointing evening where I was part of a party of 9. We were seated without menus for five minutes. Our drink orders did not come out until close to 50 minutes without any update or placating comment “sorry for the wait.” Our waitress Brie literally did not check in on our table the entire 50 minutes. We had to flag her down to ask and when we questioned her about when our drinks were coming out, she was very blasé and borderline rude. We watched another table seated after us receive drinks and we felt very unattended. We had to ask for water several times and she continued to circulates the other smaller tables while ignoring ours. She was neither apologetic nor attentive to our wait time. We felt that it was very unprofessional. Every time we asked for any item, we would have to remind her several times. When asking for the check, it took another thirty minutes at least.
Food: So if you coming here as a large party, beware, there will already be a 20% gratuity added automatically. It felt like we were ignored because the tip was automatically given and she spent more time with the other smaller tables.
All our table wanted was the typically “sorry our kitchen is busy,” “your drinks will be coming soon,” “is there anything you would like while you are waiting? More water”
Any of these comments to show there was some care would have made the experience a lot better. I understand that there are busy nights but typical professionalism should be shown as a standard.
Overall, I hope these problems can be addressed.
Food wise, the food was edible but the only thing that was any good was the shrimp and grits. Several of us ordered a steak and it was dry and tough and not the correct requested fineness. The steak was overly salty, while the mac and cheese was...
