I went into this establishment yesterday to redeem my birthday coupon. This place was in dire need of assistance. I hate to even leave this review, because I try not to leave negative reviews. I usually just let it go. But yesterday was rough. Again, I was only there to redeem a birthday coupon for a free dessert. I had to wait a MINIMUM of 30 minutes, part of that time was of me waiting to be acknowledged. Myself, along with another customer stood at the door for minutes without anyone assisting us.
Finally, I walked around the restaurant to see if I could find us some help. There were workers all gathered in a back corner talking, about 3-4 of them, another worker cleaning and several others scattered around, not sure what they were doing. It was absolutely horrible. I was going to record and take photos as evidence, but again, I hate to expose people in that manner. However, the service was so horrible that I could not go without doing this review.
Finally, I found someone to assist us. Then after about 20 minutes, the person who assisted me kept going back and forth to the back, she finally comes back to collect my code for the desert. She then goes to the back, comes back again and says, my manager said we canât redeem it, itâs not working. After a few minutes of trying to assist her, I go to the back corner where the workers were again to see what the problem is. By now, Iâm there at least 30 minutes or more, and I have now had to get help for other patrons who have entered the building but not been assisted.
It took so long for them to sit dine-in guests or help anyone. They would not even come to the front except one of us went to the back to ask for assistance!
Corporate really needs to visit this restaurant. I was told that the employees in the corner were finishing off there shift, and that there was a shift change, and so the employees were not helping. My thought to that was, âIf these people are still on the clock, they should be helping. You have people standing at the front waiting to be assisted, no one is helping. And the only excuse they have is, itâs almost time for me to clock out? Well, you are not off of the clock yet! Help your co-workers out. Is it about you or the customers.â
The only reason I stayed is because I drove over 30 minutes to get there, otherwise, it was not worth it.
Finally, the manager in the back looks at my desert code and says to the employee helping me, âYou wrote her code down wrong!â So all this time the lady was saying my code was wrong but it was right. I figured something wasnât right. Which is why I went to the back to get help myself.
I finally got my desert, they did not have the one pictured, so I settled for the confetti cake. After over 30-40 minutes, I got in the car and opened the cake, it was hard. I said, âWell, I will try to warm it up when I get home. Maybe it will be better after that.â I warmed the cake, it was hard and absolutely nasty. You can tell it was not fresh at all. I still have it on my counter as proof.
So disappointed Ruby Tuesday. I pray they can do better. This was horrible service indeed. I do not recommend. I hate for this place to be running...
Read moreSince we were pretty much waiting and bored during our visit, let me wrap my review into an attempt of writing something slightly more entertaining.
Once upon a time, in a land not so far away, we embarked on a whimsical adventure to a place we thought would be the perfect prelude to our international journey. Little did we know, dear readers, that this tale would be filled with more surprises than a fairy godmother's wand.
As we approached the restaurant, a curious sight befell us. It was the peak of dining hours, yet the place resembled a quiet enchanted forest. A question fluttered in our minds, like a mischievous woodland sprite: why, oh why, was it so deserted?
Alas, the enchantment began to wane as we ventured deeper into the establishment. The true test of our patience arose - the wait time. We waited, and waited some more, a whole 90 minutes, if you can believe it! But the feast that eventually arrived was no grand banquet from the royal kitchens; it was a mere spread of Ruby Tuesday's fare - onion rings, an Italian beef sandwich, and pasta, as ordinary as a pumpkin carriage.
Our server, a mystical being in her own right, seemed to have mastered the art of disappearing acts. Refills were as rare as finding a four-leaf clover, and the drinks themselves embarked on a journey longer than a knight's quest. She would emerge sporadically from the kitchen, like a fleeting fairy, leaving us with nothing but longing for our meal. The kitchen, shrouded in mystery, held secrets we dared not fathom, for who knew what sorcery brewed within?
As we sat in hushed wonder, we decided against voicing our grievances. There was a palpable enchantment in the air, a sense that any complaint might conjure dark magic upon our food. But the climax of this tale arrived when our server, seemingly enchanted herself with forgetfulness, presented us with the bill, beer in tow, and demanded payment. Ah, but we, clever as the fox in the forest, had requested the bill with our meal, foreseeing such a twist in this enchanting tale. Who trained these mystifying servers, we wondered?
In a brave act of chivalry, I sought an audience with the manager, the keeper of this mystical realm. He offered reparations, as if trying to break the enchantment that had befallen us. He granted us the gift of a comped beer, a 20% discount on our ordinary feast, and a waiver of the service charge. But, dear readers, if ever there were a server who danced on the edge of deserving no tip, it was she.
And so, we leave you with this enchanted tale, a story of whimsy and wonder. As for Gordon Ramsay, the renowned culinary sorcerer, he may not tread upon the realm of chain restaurants. To the reputation team of Ruby Tuesday, should you seek our experience report, you need not venture further, for this tale shall suffice. Your own visit to this enchanted realm may reveal more than meets the eye, or perhaps, less than one could...
Read moreThis location is open LATE! Accommodated a group of 8, late night (910p), last minute! Also hosted a birthday party and a post game team celebration in their dining room while our group dined. The bare bone serving staff was warm and accommodating. Our table was fortunate to meet everyone on shift that evening! :) Soft drink orders and water were immediately on the table, however, items from the bar and appetizers were slow to make it to the table...like 35 minutes to the table slow. Thankfully the feast or famine amount of component choice on the unlimited salad bar bridged the hunger gap between drinks and appetizers. Our server was a blur as she moved around the entire outer dining room, catering to the request and require of every dining party. It was easier to order alcoholic drinks directly from Jazz at the bar. The Manager on Duty was a warm presence as he checked in on every table. He receives public as well as private feedback and requests with the same respect and address them with urgency. Gluten free options are available and alternatives are offered by request. Can confirm gluten allergies are taken seriously at this Ruby Tuesday location and will honor a refire to accommodate a gluten free order. When food did come out it came out in WAVES across the restaurant. Most of our party appetizers and main courses came out in the first wave. The second delivery wave covered most of the remaining hungry party patrons. The party was disappointed with the frequency with which they needed to check in about tardy sides or desserts and brought up multiple items who's table tardiness had been completely forgotten. Our group outlasted many of the other parties in the dining room yet had challenges with splitting our check at the end. There was miscommunication about what processes and splitting options available for a party our size. Entire cash-out process, including to go boxes/bags and in the moment check item troubleshooting exclusively with our server, took about an hour and ten. However, cool points for the ability to settle checks, table side, on a handheld device. Felt comfortable walking at 11:45pm back to our damage free rental vehicle. Attached parking lot is well lit, and easy to navigate with in the multi entrance/exit access.
TLDR: Great backdrop for a last minute late night celebration. Best if you're looking for a place to catch up with your 4-5 person group; no time expectation, and on one check. All size groups can be accommodated, however small to medium groups will have best luck with the hard working spread transparently thin Ruby Tuesday staff. Food is great and delish. Salad bar is all or nothing topping options. Bar and kitchen orders come out slow, always expect a...
