When checking my order, I realized that my side order of french fries Ordered from a combo had been loosely thrown in the Popeyes huge White paper bag for food packaging. I had also noticed that I had a scoop full of macaroni and cheese and a container that was halfway full for each of the two containers that came with my order. Upon noticing I walked into the store and brought this to the manager Chris attention. I simply politely asked Chris the manager if my french fries could be put in a box Instead of being thrown in a Popeyes paper bag loosely. He immediately stated to me that the french fries always come inside of the big paper bag. I am formed him that I had just placed the same exact order two weeks ago and my french fries have been placed in a Popeyes box neatly and that I have never had it any other way and could he please put my French Fries in a box. He rudely and unprofessionally Stated to me that he had been at that Popeyes for 10 years. I told him I have been going to that Popeyes for 10 years and had never experienced my french fries being thrown in the huge paper bag used to pacakage orders. I asked him one more time if he could please put my french fries in a box and his reply was it’s not going to make the amount of French fries Any bigger or more in quantity. I informed the manager Chris that that was not my intention and that if I want to I could order additional french fries my issue is the way that my food is being thrown in a paper bag and presented to me. He told me I was stupid and proceeded to finally put my French fries in a box. Instead of him providing excellent customer service and putting my french fries in a box like a manager should have done he decided to be defensive eventually shouting bye bye get out as I walked out the door. He was disgusting towards me. After 10 years he should at least own the place no wonder he...
Read moreI had a horrible experience at Popeyes Store #7021 (7 Passaic Ave, Harrison, NJ) on 09/15/25. I wanted to try the HotOnes Collab and ordered the new Hot Ones Bundle through the app. When I got my food I noticed the Sriracha sauce that’s advertised as part of the meal was missing. The whole point of getting the HotOnes Bundle was to try with the HotOnes sauce. When I asked, the manager, Windel (or Wendel) De La Cruz, told me I’d have to pay extra, which is false advertising.
He then dug through my food bag looking for the sauce with his bare hands after handling cash, which is unsafe and unsanitary. When I told him to stop, he brushed it off and walked away, saying, “Oh well, your food wasn’t touched.” To make matters worse, when I got home my Ghost Pepper Rub wings had no seasoning at all which was also advertised and I didn’t get it.
I went back to request a refund after my order was wrong and the experience was horrible, the manager refused, saying it had to be done online. Since he wouldn’t issue a refund, I asked for my correct order, not the wrong one they had given me. Instead of preparing a new order, he tried to sprinkle spice rub on the food I had already returned and continued to give me attitude—unprofessional and disgusting. He was dismissive, disrespectful, and acted like he didn’t care about how he was treating a customer who just paid for their food.
This was one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had. I hope corporate addresses this, because no customer should be treated this way. Always check your food and make sure it’s correct and what you ordered as you’re paying.
If you encounter a problem here, I recommend recording the situation and reporting it...
Read moreThere is a manager that has been here for a long time. As long as I've been coming, she used to be really sweet but now she is very rude and always has an attitude. My order was prepared incorrectly and I approached her because I knew her enough and was more comfortable speaking to her because im not comfortable being confrontational. Well I showed her my order and how it wasn't what I wanted, but she was irritated while listening to me. Although she handled it, I ended up getting what I originally ordered, she was very passive. Eye rolling, slamming things down, not wanting to give me at least two sauces for 18 pieces of chicken...the only reason I'm keeping the review at 5 stars is because this is still hands down the best Popeye's I've ever been to regardingflavor and for the most part also regarding customer service. The standards have seemed to lower over the years, but its nothing irreversible. I work in the food/customer industry too so I understand everyone has a bad day. But even in a bad mood its important to at least be professional when dealing with customers and that was not the case with her. At least not...
