Yesterday, I was sexually harassed at Agasa Furniture & Music Store in downtown Hilo. I was wearing a t-shirt with "Reach for the Stars" splashed across the front, and one of the customers said "reach for the stars" and made hand gestures as though he were squeezing my breasts. The manager, Irene, looked horrified, rolled her eyes, and walked away. Another store employee who had been talking with the customer just laughed and laughed.
Stunned, I left, did my errands, and returned to talk to the manager. She apologized profusely, but said she had to be careful with how she spoke to the customer since he spends a lot of money there.
