Was looking for a Hawaiian made ukulele and salesperson directed us to specific model assuring us without hesitation that this particular one was made in Hawaii, Oahu to be exact. The instrument had no source markings on its internal label so we (naively) took him at his word. Took it home only to find that no, it was not made in Hawaii, it was made in China. Be careful! Preferably don't buy from this shop. They stock a lot of made in China fakes, wood is a Koa laminate, not solid Koa. They are also labeled as Hawaiian guitars, which they are not.

The K symbol when turned sideways does not stand for Kona. It is the brand logo of the Asian manufacturer. If you get a chance Google the price of the model number before buying. Some you will find are twice as expensive in the shop as...
