My 22 month old ran into the store. I chased after him and grabbed him. The male at the counter repeated no no no no no no no and made me feel extremely unwelcome and judged. I came back and spoke up he then retorted he meant it and to basically get out. If I had an employee like this I would want to know. Hope the owner knows he is alienating kamaaina.

A five star review for being rude to us? Is this a joke? Now I am truly going to tell every single person to not shop at your business. He was not concerned for my son or for my feelings. He was in a crabby mood and saw a toddler run in, who touched nothing. Nothing!

I found this shop on my last day of 9 days on the island. The man running the shop that day was so very kind. He told me he could answer any questions I may have. He said the silver jewelry in the front case represented a precious, traditional story behind each piece. I also loved that there were price points under $70, and I debated buying some earrings at the lower price points - one pair for me and one for my mother. Although I did not make a purchase in person, I have since found the shop online and am reconsidering. I had come to Kona at the invitation of friends who live there to rejuvenate and heal after a very bad breakup in my midlife. My ex and I were engaged on the green sand beach in Kona 5 years prior to this visit. This time, I wanted to "take back the island" by creating new memories without my ex, and by buying a new, exquisite piece of jewelry with my own money. Really enjoyed this shop. They have very nice silver and gem Hawaiian jewelry, including a local artist line, Sassafras. We bought a silver 'lava tube' on a chain that looks amazing. There were also some unbelievable gallery photographs from a local photographer printed on glass and steel. Lots of red volcano lava erupting at night against amazingly photographed astronomy like the moon and milky way in the background. By far the nicest part of the whole experience was meeting Debbie. She was an absolute joy to get to know. She is friends with most of the local artists featured there and her knowledge and passion about the jewelry and art shows through strongly. We even got to meet her...
