Wow... I go to pick up my Curb Side order of 5 simple bags of concrete... The curbside worker comes out and tells me to go under the covered contractor pick up area where they'll be waiting for me... I drive over and the next guy asks me for my receipt, I showed him my phone receipt... He said "No... You need to have a paper receipt, they should have gave you a paper receipt at curbside pickup".. which the first worker didn't at curbside when I checked in.... The next Employee at the Contractor Pickup then goes inside and brings out a guy named Sio who was insanely rude. Sio told me to go inside and wait in line to receive a paper receipt before I could pick up my Curbside Pickup Order, even after I had already Checked-In and was instructed to come here to get it! I told Sio, No... You go inside and get me a receipt (I had my kids in the car and certainly did not plan on going inside which is why I did curbside pickup.)... He then tell's me "I'm making things complicated and to stop being a tough guy"... I go wait in line for a receipt, and then had to my explain myself for the 3rd time to someone, the new customer service worker was so confused, meanwhile Sio stands there doing nothing in the distance watching me like a creep... Fed up finally of all the non-sense... I walked over to Sio and told him that he needs to explain to them since you know what to do apparently... Sio walked over to the Customer Service worker and they were like ohhhh okay then printed me out a receipt... Took nearly 45min to pick up 5 bags of concrete at curbside... Good job Home Depot employees for creating more work and issues for everyone including yourselves. An absolutely failed pickup system, and poor leadership. Lowes, if your reading this... Hilo is...
Read moreTried to transfer a door from Kona to Hilo because Hilo was out of stock. Spoke with the pro desk and was told due to the size of this object (French doors) Kona would not transfer the doors because they would not wrap it to transfer it.(Also, was told that sometimes they transfer things and sometimes they don’t depending on stock i.e. if they have 3 in stock they will not transfer it which in my opinion is bogus if a customer is willing to pay for it the item should be transferred that is called customer service. Then I was told by the gentleman at the pro desk I could special order it but it would take about 2weeks longer. After agreeing to special order I then had to be transferred to the door and windows department because obviously the prodesk doesn’t know how to do special orders. The gentleman in doors and windows did not seem to be interested in helping me until learning I had the item number readily available. After all that he tells me the total for the door which was $300 more than the online price I asked him why it was so much more and he informed me because it was a special order I was responsible for freight charges because it is something they do not normally stock. I explained to him it is an item they stock they were just out of stock so I shouldn’t be charged for the freight he claimed he understood but couldn’t answer my question as to why I was being charged freight for an item they normally stock. This was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had. My husband and I drove to Kona on our day off went to Lowe’s and purchased the door from them, loaded it into our Toyota pick up and drove it back to Hilo with no special wrapping required.Thanks Hilo and Kona Homedepot for all the “hard work” you...

Out of a lot of products I came in for. Homedepot the computers were down at the customer service so I waited in line to return something about 45 minutes. I waited in line patiently. When I finished I went to the pro desk to make my delivery order. The man was very rude and told me I had to wait. So I said no problem I’ll go get the items. So I grabbed a guy to help which he was very helpful. Together we brought the carts up to the pro desk. A very nice young man checked me out and then it came to getting the delivery. The young lady decided I needed 4 pallets for an order consisting of 2 - 8”ft gates and 2 Toilets in a box. And that I had to put a $25 deposit for each pallet ($100) and I had to bring them back to the store. If I had my own truck I wouldn’t need a delivery. So that means I have a car. So she did not care and just rude. Now my order comes today. Open box on one toilet, other has shoe holes in the box and no pallets. The boxes were in perfect condition when I gave the products to pro desk. The gates are scratched. And it’s not the fault of the delivery company. So why charge me for pallets and make it such a big deal?? HPM takes the pallets back with them. No deposit needed. Have fun asking someone a question, some of the people seems like their deaf or just rude. Same people that I have asked before. Amazing !!!!! Changing where I shop… this place has gone...
