I went to this Marshall’s and was there for about an hour taking my time looking at the face products. I then went to the back to look at the food products when a lady comes super close to me basically back to back with me and I thought it was a random person who didn’t know personal space but then I get out of that aisle and I noticed that this person is a Marshall worker and in my head I was like why is this person so close to me “organizing” the aisle that I am in. I used to work at TJ Maxx so I know the protocol when management thinks that someone is stealing. So I connected the dots and I guess they thought that I was stealing and keeping an eye on me. I tried to brush it off, go to other sections, and then I finally went to check out and in the checkout line I felt eyes from all of the cashiers. As I’m checking out she asked me if I have a credit card and I was like yes but I don’t have any rewards and then as im about to pay she tells something to someone else through the little walkie talkie, and I know for a fact they were talking to management and telling them that I paid for everything in my cart. I felt disgusted and embarrassed. I moved to hemet about a year ago and have been going to this Marshall’s a couple of times every month, I’m basically a regular. It’s so offensive that they would think this of me when I was not doing anything out of the ordinary. They should focus on people who actually show signs of stealing and not loyal customers who go there to spend their well earned money. I’d hate to think that they were being racist since I’m Latina and the Marshall’s workers interacting with me were both white but if the shoe fits. Will not be going to this...
Read moreLet me start bye saying.I've been a loyal customer at Marshalls for years at the last location and the new one.As I walked into the store with my girlfriend I was immediately being stared at bye a few employees that looked like security guards but I just brushed it off. As I was looking at squishmallows for my niece I was being approached by a black man in a tactical vest big dude about 6"2 250 pounds comes right behind me literally breathing down my back talking on his radio saying cover all exits. I looked around and there was now 2 of them no other customers around it was obviously towards me I felt so uncomfortable I went straight to my girlfriend and left the store being followed 3 feet away the whole rest of the time. As I was close to the door this prick says have a goodnight. The audacity of this man treating me like a thief the moment I came into the store is probably why people are saying there's no lines here.ITS CAUSE U HAVE A 250 POUND BLACK MAN FOLLOWING ME. I will never shop here again. And neither will my friends and family I'm telling everyone who will listen about my experience at this...
Read moreUsually love coming here but after tonight I don’t think I’ll be back. Stood in line for 30 minutes with cashiers standing around, when I got to the register the manager shouted to the top of her lungs to a woman who appeared to shop lift “have a good night” which got the attention of everyone in the store. This could have endangered the customers and her associates if the woman felt ballsy. the manager then started talking about the women who just left. She said “idk why she grabbed a purse, idk who she’s trying to impress, nobody wants her. Maybe she should have grabbed some soap too.” Then the other employee chimed in while doing go backs “oh shampoo, ma’am you forgot something” it doesn't matter the circumstances. I have worked in retail and never would have thought to publicly humiliate a person in front of a whole store. It’s not like it’s coming out of her paycheck or it was her personal items. 🙄 it wouldn’t put it past me if they talked about every other...
