If I could give this NEGATIVE stars, I would. I am extremely disappointed in the experience I had at this GameStop. I used to work at the one in Natrona Heights in 2018 and a lot has changed. I went in not too long ago to casually buy a couple of things and landed a position. I applied and was going through the application process and Andrew called me and said that I was going to be sent more paperwork and that it would be a back-and-forth thing for quite a bit. I missed a few calls from him as I am dealing with a sick family member, and I told him that the hours he had to offer wouldn't work because those are the times where I needed to help said family member. He was trying to have me get her a ride from someone else as if any of it was his business. I tried to explain to him that I don't think that this position is the right fit right now and asked about applying in the future and he refused to listen and said he was going to talk to his district manager about getting me in at a later time because me coming in was the law and that it needed to be done NOW. He was not the nicest person as soon as I said that I couldn't do what he wanted. Just today I received a workday email stating that I was terminated even though I didn't sign an acceptance letter or anything stating that I am now an employee. Now it is on my employment record all because he didn't care to listen to what I said to him and that I COULD NOT DO IT. I will never be returning to this GameStop, nor will I be returning to another GameStop ever again. I feel bad for the employees that work under him. Was given a warranty sticker and was told to bring in the game and sticker to use the warranty. When I went to install the game it wouldn't install due to significant damage on the disc meaning it wasn't even tested to see if it worked. Went back to return it a week later and was told that my warranty could not be redeemed if I didn't have the receipt which I was not told prior. This means that the sticker was completely useless and all I needed was the receipt. Needless to say, because I expected the game to at least install and was also told all I needed was the sticker, I threw the receipt away. Horrible system that needs fixed.
