Our server didn't show up to our table until we had been there for 30 minutes and asked two other wait staff members to have our server come over for our drink order.
We stopped hum, thinking it was our third attempt to get service. When we asked if his name was **, he replied with, "OH, are you my table?" He apologized, stating that he was dealing with a homeless person and had been too busy to come over. We told him that it was ok, except we had been waiting 30 minutes and hadn't even been asked for our drink order yet. He asked our drink order and started to walk away when we stated that we had more than enough time with the menu and knew what we wanted. He took our food order too and rushed off again with an apology for the long wait.
Not long after he was gone, Courte; whom I assume was the manager, came over too and quickly apologized profusely and told us he would take care of half our check for the inconvenience. He stayed awhile and joked and chatted with us. SUPER NICE GUY-and not just because he 9ffered a discount.
Our food came out very fast and was better than expected for "bar food." After the food came out, we again had to ask about the drink order that came shortly after.
The menu selection was diverse, and each of us got something different. Every person enjoyed their selection and gobbled up the reasonable portions. As we finished, Corte came by and asked how our food was. We all stated we were pleasantly surprised, and he joked that it was probably because it was 50%off. Even at full price, it was still very good, and the drinks were strong.
Our final bill came from our server without the discount. Frustrated again, we had to go find Corte at the bar to have him adjust the price. It was fixed, but typically, communication between wait staff and management makes for a better guest experience.
We wanted to try BLVD because it was a new eatery, and Water Street is so much fun. Will it last... only locals will know. Will we come back... maybe after they've been open for a while longer and can get their...

I had reservations for 1pm...I arrived early, they were able to seat my party of 4 by 12:15pm. They had LIVE music in the middle of the afternoon and they were gifting bouquets of flowers to all the Mamas that were dining in. You got to create your own bouquet! Cool, right? Our server was awesome, he was on top of everything (I didn't get his name).
The food was just out of this world. For shareables/appetizers, we ordered the cheeseburger eggrolls (favorite) and street nachos. Just delicious! The nachos had a great flavor/taste and I highly recommend you try it if you love nachos.
I had the chicken parmigiana, came with 1 toast (I'll need to remember to order extra); my momma had the shrimp scampi; sister had fried chicken and aunty had fish & chips. Everything was delicious and there were no leftovers!
For desserts we shared the wild berry upside cake and the brownie sundae, which was also phenomenal.
My sister ordered a lavender alcoholic beverage which was so beautiful 😍 and you could totally taste the lavender in it.
This place is just beautiful, cleaned and staff were all awesome!!!
First time here and I was blown away. You don't expect the inside to look this good (forgot to take pictures by the way). The menu was really good; they had lunch specials that was affordable & the food was just delicious! Definitely coming back to try out the other things on the menu. I gave the service 4 stars because it seemed it took the waiter a little long to take our order and having to flag them for refills but other than that... it's another gem on Water Street,...
Read moreSMOKING! They allow smoking in one section of the bar and non-smoking in the other section of the bar. The ventilation in the restaurant is not good enough to the strong smell of smoking through the entire place. So as you eat your $40 steak and your amazing appetizers the smell of smoke is a bummer. It won't take long and the new, very nice cloth booths to smell like SMOKE.
I am not a restaurant operator for sure, but I was hoping the "High end" Parkway tavern group would realize the business they get from allowing smoking is not worth the loss of people, (higher end) quietly not returning because of the strong smell of smoke while eating a nice meal throughout the entire restaurant.
Because the "smoking section" is at the front of the restaurant, you get hit with the smell of the gold mine tavern as soon as you walk in. Don't get me wrong, I love the Gold Mine, but I know what I am getting when I game there.
Parkway group should bit the bullet and ban smoking from the upper bar and continue to allow smoking in the enclosed glass section. problem solved.
good luck, we will be back, but hate the thought of the great new establishment smelling like an old casino in a few months.
We have been there several times since my original review. The management has exceeded my expectations by allowing smoking and fine dining, and have smoke free meals. Rhonda Ingrassi has done a great job contributing, while we had a truly 10 star dinner from 2 steaks to the...
