Hound Heelton — Local services in Hendersonville

My family’s dog came home severely dehydrated, dirty, and lethargic. This business has had positive reviews in the past few months dealing with mild temperatures, but it’s obvious they’re uneducated when it comes to thick-coat dogs and Tennessee heat. Even being warned our dog drinks more water than average on hot days, they still did not adequately provide hydration care or grooming. The dog had to be cleaned and bathed properly when my family brought him home, and he still cannot keep down solid food due to severe dehydration. If you have a small dog or a dog with a thick coat or an elderly dog, please seek boarding elsewhere, where they adequately monitor hydration in dangerous heat. It could be what keeps your fur baby with you longer, if you catch my drift. Any added negligence to this situation, or if he had stayed any longer may have ended up with them not bringing home a dog at all. Just want to update my previous review below from my dogs first time boarding almost a year ago to now . I have taken my dog multiples times now for boarding and I again just can’t say enough about this amazing place . My dog doesn’t even care when I come back to get her after a trip she just wants to follow the amazing owner Jeannie around and go back and play with her dog friends. So thankful to have found an amazing place to board her where I don’t have to worry one second about her .

So happy I found this amazing place! After a previously not so great boarding experience and thinking I would never board again I was recommended to hound Heelton. Our girl Kari went for her first bath, blow out and nail trim today at Hound Heelton and let’s just say we will be back. Not only did Jeannie meet us in the waiting area with dog treats and a visit on the sofa she made us feel right at home. After leaving Jeannie gave us updates on how everything was going with our girl which meant so much. Upon arrival Jamie let me know just how our girls bath went and how sweet she was. I almost got jealous how comfortable and loving Kari was towards these two ladies as she has been through a lot lately with losing her human of many years and coming to live in a new home.
