Cute shop, but definitely overpriced for what you get. You can find very similar items at PetSmart or other major retailers for far less. If you’re specifically looking for things like a hairy rabbit foot treat or a $100+ 20lb bag of kibble, this might be your spot. Just a heads-up: asking about American-made dog toys might earn you a condescending response. (For the record, not all toys are made in China.)
** Updated edit since owner response:
The owner did show me a selection of American-made toys (from the front-facing floor display), just as one of her employees did when I visited a few years ago. I absolutely understand the challenges of sourcing U.S.-made pet products at a reasonable cost.. especially given the added complications of tariffs and regulations.
That said, the tone of our interaction did feel dismissive, and I left feeling like my concerns weren’t taken seriously. I did not leave a review a few years ago because I thought they might have had a bad day and I didn’t post this review lightly today… I posted it because I think respectful conversation goes both ways, and I left feeling...
Read moreMy family was in Hendersonville in October of 2016, and on my last day there I wanted to get some treats for my dog. The shop hours were 10-6pm. We waited until 10 mins after 10am. The lights were off, and we tried knocking on the door. Also called the shop and left a message with no response. I wrote a review about in on Google, and they replied, but I only saw the response the other day(March 2018). They had apologized and offered treats on the house. I called on March 22nd, and they still honored their word even though it had been over a year. The woman I talked to was super friendly and accommodating. The treats arrived in the mail two short days later. I didn’t expect to be sent treats at all, and certainly not more than one. I was so shocked at the amount they sent, and that they had sent any at all. I’m sure most places wouldn’t go to such lengths to right a negative review. They went above and beyond sending me all those different flavored treats. So thankful, and if I’m ever in Hendersonville again I would love to stop by and check...
Read moreunique is right. the only thing these people care about is putting their views out for the rest of the world to see. I wouldn't normally have a problem with this because it's their store they're allowed to put whatever merchandise they like out. But what kills me is I tried to make small talk with these people and they were just mean, downright mean. Tried to tell them about my dog. Told them that some of their items were cute. One of them even sort of shoved her way past me to get to the back room because I was in the way. I tend to fall in between about views of any kind. So I usually go in with an open heart an open mind when someone else has their personal opinions in their shop. I even wound up buying something still! I know that no one has to be happy all the time but it would have been nice just to be recognized as a customer! Mostly everything was overpriced but I can understand that for a locally made item or something that someone's been a lot of time on. Still everything was a pretty penny. Definitely skewed my view of their...
