Update: Panda contacted me to make things right and even sent me a letter apologizing for our experience. The customer service of Panda in terms of the company greatly exceeded my expectations and for that I wanted to update my review and add another star. I really appreciate how they made me feel like a valued customer.
The only reason that this is only a one star upgrade from 2 to 3 stars however is because of the location itself. As I said previously this was my favorite location of any I've been to, the food is usually amazing, like impressive for being fast food. We've gone back two more times since the last experience but the food just isn't the same, did they change management or staff or was I just getting lucky? The items are either mostly veggie or all meat, the rice is super dried out, and even the meat itself is rubbery and overcooked. Twice in a row now we've had food like this and I can't get my head around it. We were coming here consistently since September without any complaint against the food. I hope they figure out the cause of the change and fix it, I really miss the good Panda!
Original: It hurts me to write this review.. this location has always been my absolute favorite. I'm not a huge fan of chicken but I will order it first everytime when coming here. The family feast is a great deal and allows us all to get a little bit of what we enjoy. The service is usually great, speedy, and the food has not once disappointed. Jump to last night... We went through the drive thru and ordered our same family feast choices as we have always done in the past along with three add-on sides and a drink. Barely in the window for a minute and our food was already done.. one single bag. My husband asked if that was our entire order in the bag, the woman in the window asked someone near her and replied yes. We drove home and unpacked to find that we were missing our add-on sides. I called in to see what our options are.. since we didn't receive the items I assumed they'd either offer to have us go back and pick them up or a refund equal to the cost of the missing items.
My assumption was wrong.. we needed the receipt for any option apparently. The woman I spoke with offered to pull the camera footage to ensure that we received the receipt but she couldn't offer us anything without the physical receipt? After some back and forth she said if we came back in that exact moment she'd give us our items. By this point our food was already cold and neither my husband nor I wanted to go out again. I asked if they could just refund the card we used.. yeah.. if we come in... with the receipt. What a joke. You saw us.. you have the camera.. I can tell you what our exact order was and the time that we came through but you won't give us the money we paid for the items we never received? When asking if the woman was a manager she said no but that there wasn't one present? I've never heard of this for a fast food restaurant especially when it's close to closing time. Looks like we'll have to go back another day just to speak to a manager. We found the receipt before the end of the phone call but it didn't change...
Read moretoday, 1/10/20, I went to the Main Street Panda Express, I ordered two chicken egg rolls. At the window I asked the associated if I could have a bowl 1/2 and 1/2 and let my egg rolls be my sides. The bill came to 12+ dollars and I wonder why was I so much. Because I was on my lunch break, I just went back to the office. When I checked my order, the Associate gave me to two eggs that look like they had been sitting out for hours, hard, crusty and burnt on each end. The bowl consisted of 1/2 and 1/2 but they had put walnut shrimp on top. Why. I am allergic to nuts, especially walnut. I called the Hesperia located and spoke with Aubrey who looked up my order, she proceeded to tell me that the associate told her I order the walnut shrimp, I said why when I am allergic. Then I explained to her, as a consumer, these egg rolls should have never been sold. Aubry told me my option was to bring the receipt and food back and they would give me fresh food. I told her I would but I did not wan anymore of this location's food, but that was not an option. Read moreI arrived at Panda Express at 9:55pm to have a sit-down meal and wash my hands after a long day at work, only to be informed that the dine-in area was closed early, despite the posted hours. It was disappointing to see that the employees were not accommodating, especially considering the number of staff present. I believe if they want to close early, they should update the hours displayed on the door and window. I expressed my dissatisfaction and mentioned leaving a negative review online, which seemed to have no effect on their decision. I will make sure to share my experience on various online platforms. This location is usually busy, and with Walmart nearby closing at 11pm, there should have been enough customers to keep the dine-in area open until the specified time.
