We have stayed at this place 3 times. It's very basic with just water and power in a gravel large parking lot. The office ladies are extremely cranky most days, not many smiles. We have two service dogs who are very friendly always leashed except to potty. Husband is a war veteran I am also disabled. A very cranky older lady complained to the management office that our dogs were off leash and aggressive. Instead of the office asking the 4 other tenants if they have seen the same or have any complaints the office became extremely discriminatory to us. They knocked on our door and asked us to vacate the next day. Once I was fully awake we went to the office to get notice in writting. Lady was rude, refused to write it right away (she claimed to be too busy). The moment an older lady walked in she became available as by magic. Once I retained our eviction in writting I started to tell her that she MAY lose her job for using discrimination on us and our service dogs as I was getting ready to state the ADA laws to her for our dogs the entire office started yelling at us to get out for threatening the receptionist and they were calling the cops to trespass us. This whole time, I never got to tell them the laws, never got to tell them our side, never got to show them letters from other tenants saying that the older lady (who cancelled their reservation) was lying. Needless to say, officer shows up hours later and states that what the office is doing is wrong. He interacted with said dogs, proceeded to joke with us on our vicious dogs. We will be seeking legal counsel on this matter. Since we are younger, disabled, and have service dogs I feel we were highly discriminated against and intimidated by the entire staff. I had to leave my cat because she explores during the day and doesnt return till night fall, had to call into work, and now my body is in extreme pain from all the stress this has caused. Oh yeah, another camper packed up and left with us to vernonia anderson park which is less money and a MILLION times better and has full hook ups not just weak water pressure and sorry weak power. If you need A.C. it will blow your fuse. Oh yeah, they stole one days fee from us as well. No refund was issued. Highly unstable and unprofessional people work at this fair ground. They should all be terminated and feel very ashamed for being discriminating against a disabled veteran and...
Read moreHorrible parking system. It took an hour to get in from the road behind Safeway. 1/4 mile road that wasn't moving hardly ever. The parking lot people were letting the cars go in from the airport road side and we barely got to move on our side. Same parking lot people were letting people out afterwards and the line wouldn't move forward for almost 30mins. Everything inside was so overpriced and the lines were unbelievable. One worker says 30,000 people came that day. It was just too many people and even the quick pass lines were as long as the regular lines were. This fair is to small for the amount of people that come. What a nightmare that whole experience was. I wouldn't recommend this fair to anyone. It's an absolute mess and the rides looked like they were barely holding together. We got out of line when a worker had to harness up and attempt to "fix" some loose cables on the Zipper ride. Corn dogs were 14$ and a small tiny fudge sundae was also 14$. An elephant ear was $14 it was just a rip off at every turn. The fast pass was $60 and the lines were just crazy still. Worst parking lot experience in my 43 years of life! They really had us moving not even a 1/4 of a mile in over an hour just to get into a place that was shoulder to shoulder with people and lines as far as you could see. Never going back to this place. Drop your kids off at Safeway and go home while they do the fair by themselves! Old creeper dudes all over the place looking like they were recording with their phones. One old guy was called out for doing it. I saw another that definitely looked like he was doing the same thing! My girlfriend wouldn't let me cuss at the parking lot people so her I am telling you'll how awful the whole experience was. If you must go, than make sure and breathe and tell yourself it's a fun experience. Lie to yourself because it is not a fun...
Read more2023 County Fair was a bit disappointing. Good points for us were library sale and soft serve ice cream. Entrance is free. Went on a Tuesday so parking was free. Doesn't open until 5 pm. Line waiting to get in was backed up along the paved parking lot forcing cars to weave through pedestrians. Attendants should redirect the line away from traffic as it forms. They don't allow outside water brought in but the water station appeared to have unfiltered unpalatable tap water. Later found water in main building that might be filtered. 4H building is hidden in the rear. They were closed. No other community exhibits found. It was mostly commercial and entertainment. Staff were being trained after the fair opened. They should be trained in advance. Security personnel were hitting on workers and posing for selfies. Only one route available from front to back of fair. It was crowded enough to make passage difficult early on a weekday. Would expect it to be impassable on busy day. It looked like there are two entrances but only one narrow exit. When they need to evacuate, it would be a mess. I hope they have plans for trained staff to open other exits to evacuate in...
