Schmizza Pub & Grub — Restaurant in Hillsboro

I ordered the 14" Don Ho pizza, but had Alfredo sauce put on it rather than the default. I ordered it through the web site and since I live only a few blocks from the pizza place I wanted to pick it up myself. I found that there was no way to select buyer pickup. All of the choices were for one of the delivery services to deliver it and I couldn't find a self pick up selection anywhere. So I called the store and asked about it and ended up ordering over the phone. Which was fine because it was $2 cheaper over the phone than what I was quoted on the web site. The pizza was ready when I got there, and the person that I paid and received the pizza from was nice and friendly. I got the pizza home and my wife and I dug in. On my 2nd slice I noticed that something was right and realized it didn't have any cheese on it. What I thought was cheese was the Alfredo sauce. I went and looked at the web site again and it says "...a sea of cheese". If there was cheese on it it was sure not a sea of it. Maybe a dry river bed, but it tasted and looked like there was no cheese at all. My other ingredients I added, bacon, olive, mushroom, were all there, as was the pineapple rings and Canadian Bacon, that were suppose to be there. The crust was great but didn't make up for no cheese. We had a Domino pizza last week and it was great. I thought I'd try some of the different pizza places around our area of Hillsboro, which is why I tried Schmizza Pub & Grub. I'll either stick to Domino's or try some other pizza place next time and scratch Schmizza...

I have been a Pizza Schmizza patron for about say 15 yrs or so I mean since you guys opened your 1st restaurant in Bvtn Or...first at your 117th/ SW Lombard location and then at the one on BHH near 7-11 ( my ex-employer and Jesuit HS...and later near Hillsboro Or Airport near Albertson's and later on SW Evergreen Pkwy in Tanasbourne.....and I like your out of this world menu especially your Alligator pizza .....many moons ago and it tastes better than chicken.... promise.....and your beer also w/ the pizza v reasonably priced thanks Mr Jehan Andre....you sir is a Pioneer you sir charge only 3.99 for delivery while Domino's pizza and Papa John's charge almost 10 dollars....shoot/////////////...but their pizza good also ....but more of traditional fare.......and I order from them too..........why not perfect competition right Mr Jehan.......??????? Pizza Schmizza is a "trendy" chain that has sprouted across Portland and the suburbs surrounding it. I mean trendy as in, it has a Portland vibe that is obvious from the interior to the staff. That's in no way a bad thing.

The fact that it seems like a pizza only joint but is so much more is a great surprise to those that don't know what they offer. There's obviously pizza, but also pasta, chicken wings, salads, sandwiches and tater tots! Tater tots! Can't go wrong with tater tots, huh Nopolean?

Outside of the offerings of food, this particular location has a bar on the right side that is a full offering of a variety of cocktails and brews. Very good beer I might add.

The only downside that I have with the place is that it isn't very big in regards to seating. There is outside seating for the summer, but if its busy on a Saturday and raining, a lot of times you'll have to "to-go" it back home. The delivery availability isn't very big in radius either. I live 5 mins away and they don't deliver to me.

The food is pretty good too. Big slices, some interesting toppings as well. Steak on anything is great. On pizza? For sure. The pasta is filling as well and isn't just sauce. It has a healthy serving of...
