Since I'm not able to cook for my family, teach classes, or develop/test recipes, AND because I don't have an extra $15K to spend to replace my BlueStar ... I've got a lot of time on my hands. Why in the world would a business lie about something as important and servicing one of their products? After four years of sporadic functioning, I now have to light the burners with a Bic. The ovens don't work at all - haven't since last November and prior to that, last January. Most of all, though, is that I get one of two responses to my inquiries: call [one of the two authorized techs; one refuses to work in Beaufort and the other doesn't return calls], OR ... silence. I guess I'm on my own? but no one will even say that outright.
Edited to add: I've been told repeatedly to call one of the two authorized service techs in the area. One simply doesn't return my calls and hasn't for as long as I've been trying to contact him (years). The other is sympathetic, but will not service our town, period, and I've tried and tried. so what do I do now - I guess write it off? I would not have bought this if I'd been told the truth: I'm on my own. Very disappointed.
Original: Bought a Blue Star Range from Ferguson 5 years ago. I was assured by the rep at Ferguson, that service was readily available locally, and by someone who used to be the area rep for the company. That was not at all true, which I learned a few months after the range went off warranty and died. Repeated calls and emails to Ferguson were not acknowledged in any way. Very disappointing. Oh, and I've used the range for maybe 20 months total out of the 60 we've lived here. Very...
Read moreExpensive and not final customer driven. So long as their builder clients are happy, they don't care much about the final customer and their desires. Don't use Caitlin. Always "too busy", not organized, rushes the selection and not detail oriented...in other words, misses stuff. Took 2-3 months to get selections finalized. How about an off-brand toilet for $350...comes in about 4-5 boxes and doesn't have the features of a name brand toilet, purchased in one box for $150-$200! That would be Ferguson...with one brand to choose from! If you want a skirted style it is $450. OMG! If you have a lot of toilets...that adds up. They are supposed to be cheaper than retain or online...no...not...no way...uh uh! We are buying our own toilets! And several...
Read moreI recently had to purchase a Sub-Zero fridge in your Bluffton location. The process was awful. Nobody answers the phones. The voice mail states I can wait, but nobody answered for an hour. On four occasions when I left a message, the turnaround on a return call was never the same day. It wasn't easy. When we finally decided on the product and the price, they sent me a written quote which was more than $300 greater than the amount agreed. When I told them, they said, "I don't know how that happened, but I'll issue a new quote." I would describe my experience at that location as TERRIBLE...AWFUL...NON-RESPONSIVE. The message I got was, "the customers aren't important to us" and "we have no urgency to respond to...
