The NEW Kohl's changed the store, changed the credit card. As a long-time Kohl's cardholder I may never return. The new check out/returns/customer service area is a nightmare. As you enter the store there are no signs directing you where to go, even to find the entry point of this new maze. And once you found the entry point, you creep along until you reached a bottleneck of customers, where there is only one woman pointing you to either check-out or returns, each which had another long line. On a busy Saturday afternoon there was that one woman directing check-outs/returns and only one cashier assisting customers for returns/cust. svc. Both lines were ridiculously long. Both sides of the aisles of these mazes were packed with shelves of small items tempting you to buy as you creeped along in line. Way too much stuff because the maze was so long. Very desperate and cheesy attempt to make more sales. The new Kohl's/Capital One card idea is not only confusing but has lowered my credit score, which I'm furious about. My score got lowered because I (1) cancelled a long-time credit card (Kohl's), and (2) added a new card to my credit (now listed as a 2nd Capital One card). When I make a payment to both my Kohl's and Capital One cards, both payments show up on my bank account as "Capital One" so I don't know which card's payment...
Read moreToday was my first time shopping at derby street since before the pandemic. Iâve been avoiding stores and strictly sticking to online but finally decided to venture out with my mom and kids to do some holiday shopping. As I approached the the cashier and was waiting for my turn with my two children one of the cashiers shouted at me âthe line starts hereâ pointing to exactly where I was standing but suggesting I cut the line. I had not. I walked down from where everyone else did pushing a stroller and holding my 3 year olds hand. There was also only one couple in line behind me. When I told her I came from back there meaning I walked down and properly got in line she didnât believe me and didnât offer to ring me up until another cashier confirmed that I hadnât cut the line. She then rudely ushered me to another cashier. That cashier was lovely. We were there right when the store opened. It was fairly quiet. And this is exchange was just unnecessary. I donât doubt the burnout that comes with retail work over the holidays and Iâm sure they deal with plenty of rude people daily. I just didnât think that I deserved to be treated that way. I made my purchase and moved on but it didnât sit well with me and hope that cashier can find a way to not take her frustrations out on a mom of two first thing in...
