Let me start this review by saying I am not a person to quickly right a bad review. I take into consideration that sometimes issues may occur. But unfortunately my personal experience at the Hiram location with a specific employee was so unprofessional it deserves a review so that hopefully other customers do not receive the same service. Dec 5th I had my eye appointment Everything went pleasant. I was Greeted at the door, short wait time, good eye exam etc. At the end of my visit I was approached by a very friendly, very talkative employee named April. I was told by her that if I paid in advance for my contacts, I could most likely get them when I came back in for my trial contacts. Even though time wasnât a concern of mine,I still paid in advance. April then assisted an employee with my order purchase and told me to contact her with any concerns or issues.I left satisfied with my visit. A week later I called the store to see if my trials were in, and they were! Great!!! I got there and again another good experience. I asked about my contact order And was told by an employee my contact order was not in yet and they would call once they came in. (Great no big deal) Again I left satisfied. I waited another couple weeks, taking into consideration the Crazy Busy Holiday Season. I called back to check on the status of my order and spoke with April (Great! because she initially helped with the ordering process of my order) She sounded busy and rambled a couple words that sounded like there was a possible issue with my order. She then told me she would look into it and call me back. SHE NEVER CALLED ME BACK !! I waited a couple days, spoke with other employees in regards to my order issue, I told them April was suppose to be helping me . Different employees checked on the status but didnât have an answer. Each employee I spoke with said they would leave a note for April since she was the initial person helping me and also the person who seemed to know the issue with my order. AGAIN, I NEVER RECEIVED A CALL BACK!!! April( who i assume is management) Completely had no regards to the fact I spent money on contacts and needed help resolving the issue. Never thought to delicate my concern to anyone else if being the fact she was to busy. I had to call customer service multiple times and speak with the general manager twice to get an answer. Unfortunately because of Aprils lack of professionalism, I will not go to the Hiram location again. But I will continue to be a customer with Visionworks . Thanks to customer service and the general manager explaining to me the issue and resolving it.(thatâs all I needed) But for my inconvenience and wait time they gave me 2 months free trial contacts as well. I picked up my contacts on Jan 18th, a month and 1/2 after placing my...
Read moreWent in for contact lens exam. First time at Visionworks, as I usually get my eyes checked out at America's Best. They follow procedures for Covid, and you get your temp taken when you walk in. The guy taking the temps. wasn't very welcoming. The rest of the staff seemed great. However, the eye doctor didn't get my prescription right. My vision was worse after I left. He told me that my astigmatism was too bad in one of my eyes and I'd need a special lens. He said this was all he could do. I asked him to order my old prescription and the new prescription in a trial pair. I paid and left. Trial pair was supposed to take up to 4 weeks to come in.... 4 WEEKS. Really? Well, I waited 4 weeks wearing one of my old contacts (since I could see better with it) and one new contact. Different brands, and both past their designed time of use. I never received a phone call telling me my trials came in. I called them, and a guy answered the phone and told me that I called too late and to try again because the contact girls had gone home. That's the last I've spoken to them. I went back to Americas best two weeks later, my old doctor welcomed me back and apologized to me for how my visit with Visionworks went (he apologized for them - world class) and he helped me get my eyes straight and nailed the prescription so I can see clear again. My visit with Visionworks was lousy, and they've already forgotten I was ever there. I bet my trials still havent showed up. Lol. I'd recommend Dr. Cohen at Americas Best Contacts and Eyeglasses in Kennesaw off Barrett Pkwy. You pay $99 for to do the "eye care club" and you get 3 years of exams... as many exams as you feel you need in 3 years time. You also get contacts for $15 for a box of 6 lenses and 40% off eyeglasses frames. It's cheaper than using vision insurance for me. I'm sure it's the same for many others. I gave two stars because the staff with the exception of the guy that took my temp and told me I called too late were all at least friendly. I'm not planning on going back here though.
Update: Someone reached out to me to try to update me on my contacts and speak with me about my visit (thank you). However, I missed their call. There's no hard feelings on my end, and there's no need to discuss my visit further. I've already purchased another years worth of contacts from America's Best and I'm happy with my vision now, so... problem solved for me. I'd rather not re-visit this experience. I appreciate the sentiment though, and I hope others have a better...
Read moreFirst time at a vision works and my experience was pretty good. The store manager was absolutely AMAZING ! Also, the young lady who wears glasses and used to be a nanny was also phenomenal!!! Went in for a last minute eye exam with my three year old and the team was wonderful occupying her while I took care of my vision needs. Lol . My little one had a blast in the store. I truly appreciate how they just welcomed her playfulness vs. looking at her as a big nuisance to the store. So thankful for their patience and kindness. Overall experience was great!
However, When I went to pick up my contacts I was a little taken back by the young lady at the front. White, thin, with a pony. Iâm thinking she may have been a supervisor. Normally when I get contacts I usually get them in a bag with contact solution and case. I have ALWAYS gotten this with just about EVERY Contact purchase Iâve made. I have worn contacts for the last 15+years. I didnât get that today (4.3.23) . When I asked why not, the young lady from the day before (the one with glasses) seemed like she was just about to get up and get me the little box with solution and case. However, the lady at the front, quickly turned around and said we donât do that anymore. Only for new contact customer. When I stated that was disappointing, she quickly commented that âyea, they just donât send us that many anymoreâ. The part that bothered me so much is the fact that the other young Lady seemed like my request was very easy to fix but the lady in the front shut it down rather quickly. As a first time customer, the lady at the front was just so out of line. She was a little snotty with her response about a free item that the store does indeed give out to customers. Like not getting my normal case and solution is like getting glasses with no case. Like why?! Thatâs not how you treat customers. She was very dismissive and could care less about my disappointment. Glad she wasnât there the first time I visited. She definitely needs a refresher on how to treat customers, ESPECIALLY first time customers.
Wouldâve been a 5 star review of it wasnât for the lady at the front. My second trip to pick up contacts was not...
