I have eaten at this place a lot in the past. Slowing down how much I ate there more recently due to service and the quality of food. One reason I came back to try it again was due to Brandi. A sweet server who stood up for the other staff while Charles, the owner, would sit there and berate employees in front of customers. Charles got rid of Brandi recently, so the younger employees have no one to stand up for them. As for quality of food, there’s been ample times I’ve found hair or other things in my food. Temperatures always cool, not hot. Also the meats are pinker than they should be 9 times out of 10. They rarely use gloves in the back and I have proof of this. Also have heard rumors about there being a lot of drugs involved with this place and that was solidified for me when I got a big whiff of marijuana from behind the building. If you care about the health and well being of your children and loved ones, do not let them eat here.
In response to the owner: Hi Charles, very professional of you to assume that I didn’t have all the facts. I’ve witnessed you berating your employees and I’ve even seen one or two fight back tears. Responding to my message in the manner you did is not how I think you should have. You are very quick to defend yourself on things no one has mentioned meaning you are hiding more than you let on. So let me say one thing, I have heard first hand not to eat banana pudding because your employees don’t wear gloves while making it. I have also found and seen some needles in your bathroom. Whether they be from customers or employees that cannot stand. Children may find them. Please step up and take charge of your...
Read moreIt’s sad that I have to leave this review. The ribs were amazing. But the manager was horrible. The prices are insanely high, and my mom thought her sandwich came with fries. When she questioned it. The young girl said that because my mom was inconvenienced with her hot dog coming out wrong, she would get her fries. the manager said no. She had to pay for them, after we spend fifty dollars on food and he had a hidden service fee on our bill. My mother and I mentioned the hidden service fee. The manager comes over and has the audacity to tell us that it’s illegal to have a sign that tells people about they have a service fee. That visa tells them not to.
That is a lie. Because it is a law in the state of Georgia that you must disclose the service fee to your patrons! I explained this to him, he kept telling me I was wrong! I told him he was lying directly to my face! He kept arguing with me! Finally I told him i Mandarin to leave me alone because I was done with him lying to me and let me and my mom finish our food so we could leave. Because I knew he was lying and did not care! At this point, I will NEVER return to this establishment , no matter if the food is good.
They have poor customer service, and do shady business dealings and illegal acts.
Maybe learn your laws before you speak and retrain yourself with customers.
If fit to the owners! It is still illegal to not POST THE SERVICE FEE BEFORE YOU PAY! You can’t just put it on the RECEIPT! As per the GEORGIA LAW! You should actually go to our Georgia codes and look them up! As stated on the WEBSITE PRIOR TO IMPOSITION! And after with an electronic breakdown! Therefor...
Read moreI have eaten at this restaurant quite a few times over the years with no issues. I had church friends tell me to be careful but I had no idea what they were talking about until last Saturday night. My husband ordered the bbq pork salad. Myself and my son didn't order anything with lettuce. After church on Sunday, my husband started violently vomiting, had fever, chills and severe joint pain. This went on until I took him to Urgent Care today. The doctor diagnosed him with food poisoning and stated most likely that was the cause. Especially since he had been vomiting up lettuce and bbq pork until there was no food left in him. What I found really appalling was when I notified Happy Hawg today of the incident, the manager/owner was totally arrogant - He stated that didn't happen there and just kept denying it. He touted his food inspection score of 96 - however back in 2017 his food inspection score was not so great at 82. So what if the supplier sent you tainted lettuce? That doesn't matter. He was not willing to even investigate and told me he sold 100 salads that day with no reports so far of sickness. I didn't see alot of salads that day but told him maybe I am the first or only one to mention something about getting sick. I am not looking to sue anyone but I think if you get sick after eating there don't assume it's a virus. Sometimes people are quick to blame a virus especially if the weather is up and down. Just making sure I share my experience to hopefully...
