I recently purchased a couch and chair from this location using their Genesis Credit service. I was approved for $2000 in credit with differed interest which I was told that meant my interest would start immediately, which I was fine with.
After picking out the couch and chair that fit within the amount I was approved for, I was brought a piece of paper that had 6 different payment plans. I ended up choosing the payment plan that was going to be $59/mo for 1.5 years. After signing the contract the sales rep then told me “oohhh I forgot you are differed interest, that paper and payment plant you selected doesn’t mean anything. Your payment might just be a little higher than what we selected.”
Well my first bill showed up saying I owe $100/mo for 3 years. That is double the price for twice as long! So after speaking with the store manager her response was “it was explained to you that you were differed interest, there’s nothing I can do” and I explained to her that all I was told, prior to signing the contract, was that my interest would accrue immediately, there wouldn’t be any “same as cash” grace period and that nothing was mentioned about my payment being hire or for a longer time frame than we had discussed. I then told the store manager that due to the misleading on their behalf, I would like to return my furniture at which point the store manager said they do not do returns.
This team is a bunch of thieves! They knew full well what they were doing the entire time! I have reported this incident to the Better Business...

The sales man whom assisted us with our purchase was honestly the best salesman we have ever dealt with. He didn’t hover but was tentative! His name is Randy, here in the Hobbs building, and I highly recommend paying him a visit if you’re interested in purchasing new furniture. He gave helpful information about our investment that isn’t normally explained when making this sort of purchase! Here’s just a one of the many things we were informed of while working with him. Did you know that if you purchase insurance When you buy furniture from Ashley’s it’s good for four years? In that time any claims are made good by having someone come to your home and fix your furniture. The idea is to have your furniture functioning and in the same condition 4 years from the date of purchase! We were glad to be told that if we never used our insurance the money we paid to have it would be refunded into an Ashley’s store credit! So, 140.00 for insurance on furniture not used over a 4 year period = 140.00 given back as a store credit! I didn’t know that and we have made purchase there before. Just ask for him unless you are comfortable with whoever is rotated at the front wich is always an option. Happy...
Read moreFirst visit was to buy my mother a dresser. Located salesperson, Giovanni, who assisted with the purchase. Said would take 2-6 weeks for delivery but is never that long. That was on November 1, 2018. Today is December 10 and still no dresser. Giovanni did call saying it would be delivered November 27th which came and went. AFTER the six weeks he called to say the dresser is so popular it wouldn't be delivered until the end of December. Spoke with two very professional customer service employees, Samantha and Meanie, and found that a dresser is available to be delivered December 13. Believe salesperson should have been able to do this.
Second visit was a few days later for a sofa Mom had seen online. Sales person, Randy, was eager to greet us but when he went to check availability, he never returned. After 30 minutes had to go to desk and ask for help. Seems Randy was waiting on another customer at the same time he was waiting on us. Would have been nice had he let us know something instead of leaving us waiting. Manager ended up prodding Randy to take care of us. If ever went back, which I won't, certainly will not use Randy.
