Our service was terrible it was 6 pm on 12 18 /24. We there about 5 minutes but could not decide who was going to sit us down. It was the young lady with the blues eyes asked if had been waiting on and then mention that they needed to clean a table walked away. Then this guy with kind of waving hair said have If we been waiting on and walked away, then this real tall girl asked if we been waiting on. Threw all this none waiting on us. The girl with the blue eyes came back to sit us down place 2 menu’s on the table. And she asked what we wanted to drink left and the guy with the waving hair came with one tea glass and one set silverware. Threw all this we went threw 3 people to get waited on. Then the guy after 30 minutes waited between sitting he came by with the other glass of tea and silverware. He apologize and was very kind and courtesy and took our order. After all that he was a good waiter and very kind. But because this long wait. The food was excellent. I must say the work ethic is not what it used to be. Oh before I forget I notice the first girl was at the register and I asked her why is it you sat us down first and you waiting on the people after us. She said I only a hostess. So I asked her who is our waitress. She said she didn’t know but someone would be with me. So I asked her so your hostess and took the 4 gentlemen order first. But I thought just my theory I could be wrong she was expected a bigger tip from the 4 men that came after us. And she was the original hostess or waitress whatever she wants to call herself. She’s the one that sat us never came back but she immediately waited on the first 4 men after us, and she never came back. I was very upset but I thought it is not worth it. The work ethic is quite different from my time. The gentleman that finally took our order was a good waiter and the ticket was 38.07 and I left a 10.00 tip. Regardless but the moral of this story. Read moreI have always been a fan of this place especially the Eunice location. I was very disappointed today when my family and I went in today with both service and the food. I ordered a coke and was brought a water. I kindly reminded the staff and it was corrected right away. No big deal. But then my husband ordered a coke as well and also wa brought water instead. We got that corrected. We ordered the rattlers to start off with and there was only cheddar cheese inside. Confusing but we didn’t say anything. We proceeded to order a scorpion and my son’s food. About 5 minutes later we were told they don’t have that currently. We ordered a porter house medium rare instead and they kindly offered to discount the price of the scorpion to match the price of the porter house and still honor the four sides which was awesome. Until we got our steak that was well done and thought even to the touch. We asked the waitress about it and she offered a remake. We waited for a bit and decided to go ahead and pack up our food to go. I went to go pay the bill and she asked if everything was alright I told her I think there just a lot of confusion or maybe miscommunication going on. She proceeded to tell me that the cook was also confused because the steak looked pretty bloody to him so he doesn’t know why we though it was over cooked. I wish I would have taken a picture of the well done steak with absolutely no pink in it at all but I just smiled and sat down. Read moreEdit: September 2023. I'm so disappointed with this restaurant. It used to be one of our favorites. We went on a Sunday evening, and the staff botched almost every single thing. They didn't have kids menus. It was absolutely freezing. There's a strong chemical cleaner smell that makes it hard to enjoy the food. It's loud, so we could not even enjoy conversation. The drinks were correct, which was nice. The food took a long time and then several orders got mixed up. We had a couple of people leave early and we needed their meals put in boxes. We had to explain it to the staff four times. They all seemed incompetent. Just a horrible experience. I won't be going back unless they make major changes.
We really love the food here, so we eat here fairly often. The service has continued to go downhill with no end in sight though. Last night the waitress didn't bring kids menus and kept getting our orders wrong. Once, we called to place a takeout order and were put on hold... For thirty minutes. Finally my husband hung up and called again, getting a busy signal. He finally went to the restaurant and placed an order there, at which point the waitress gasped and asked if he was the one on the phone. They had apparently set the phone down and forgotten about him. I have heard of the same exact thing happening to at least one other person as well. Mainly, it just feels like no one cares at this restaurant. I'm getting totally sick of bad service in Hobbs.
