Cotton Patch Cafe — Restaurant in Hobbs

Unprofessional, plain and simple. My wife and I hardly eat here anyways due to the frequent let downs but we decided to "give it one more shot" and what another disappointment. I work 16 hours a day so this was a pick up order. My pregnant wife decided she'd get up and go pick it up for us so I could just drive straight home from work and not have to make any extra stops. When I got home ready to have dinner with my wife, the simple two meal order was completely wrong. Cotton Patch was missing the avocado and bacon on the crispy chicken sandwich, the incorrect sides for my wife and one of the drinks were wrong as well. Lastly, my wife is allergic to onions so she specifically asked for NO onions per usual, yet they were thrown on the meal anyway. We tried to call for a refund since it was a complete waste of time and money. The manager said they could only refund the sandwich... Like what!? After a few minutes of conversation we were supposed to get fully refunded for the wasteful transaction. I've called on multiple occasions to try and let them make it right before writing a review. Here I am, weeks later and still haven't seen a refund for my $31... Quite expensive for two meals might I add, especially when they couldn't even get it right.

Well, work this time has me in Hobbs, New Mexico. As I often do while out on the road, I try to visit Mom and Pop or non chain restaurants. The head coach picked this location, so he did the work for me. This is a nice place with a laid-back atmosphere. I would compare it to a Chili's. We went with two college soccer teams. Maybe they were just overwhelmed by our large group of approximately 80 , but we waited over an hour for our food. The other side of the restaurant was pretty much empty other than two tables with six people. If this was a Friday night with a full restaurant, I would hope they would have more staff on duty. The food was decent, and the wait staff was okay. We did notice a lot of the staff not working our section just standing around and chatting. If I were the manager, I would have had everyone chip in to feed this large group and possibly even rolled up my sleeves and helped in the kitchen to get the food out. But the manager as well was just standing around and chatting. I guess he's done his time in the kitchen, and the work to help your entire staff is beneath him. Bad reflection of a TEAM leader. I wouldn't mind coming back here if I'm in the area, but I would recommend better direction and leadership from...

The original waitress we had was horrible. She didn't refill our drinks, she neglected to tell us about anything they were out of until we had already ordered it or had received the food with missing items. She never brought any of our food and neglected to bring some of our drinks as well. Our food was delivered by a combination of 3 other servers and the last person to receive their food was my 2 year old godson and neglected to let us know that his plate was piping hot. Our waitress also disappeared until the end of our meal due to personal reasons in the workplace but in the end did apologize. We were partially taken care of by another server but she also had her own section to tend to and was not able to give us the service she wanted to due to our original servers disappearing act. The food we did receive was very good, and the food we ordered for my sister towards the end of our meal was delivered in a timely matter thanks to our newer waitress. The manager though, never even made an attempt to speak to us or apologize in anyway, he simply took our apatizer off of our ticket in order to "solve the problem" but only because our newer waitress requested it.
