As always, the same disappointing hotel experience by Wyndham. Extreme unprofessionalism by most staff members, broken items in hotel room (phone AND alarm clock) right next to the "we are going to charge you for items missing" sign, holes in the ONE bath-sized hotel towel I was allowed, and many missing breakfast items such as every kind of juice and non-heal bread.||||The front lobby area and pigeon porch disgusted me. Any attempt to sit outside was sickening. The "catio" where the pool and unworking hot tub was poorly maintained and hardly lit at all. The floor tiles in the lobby entry way are poorly installed and a tripping hazard. The hanging mounts in the breakfast area have acquired more dust and hair on them since becoming deceased. Let's not even begin to describe the excessive mold growing on the shower tiles and poorly installed tub insert. I can only image why that was there and how much mold and ick was under it as it was installed improperly. ||||I just can't believe you're asking more questions. I doubt there will be any improvements and still another "best hotel" award will be made for 2025 and put up on the check in wall for yet another stellar year. ||||If the business center has a printer with no cable, no ink, and no paper. Does it really have a printer?||||I'm fairly certain all the staff lives in the hotel. This including a few teenage girls that were running around playing volleyball in the gym area at 10-11 pm on a Friday night. As they passed our group of mostly adult males, they made rude and...
Read moreI expected more for a Wyndham Hotel. The Baymont in Hobbs, NM was sub standard with regard to cleanliness of our room. When we arrived, the beds were not made neatly, the bed skirts were practically hanging off the bed box springs.. looked like a 5 year old made the bed. Also, the room had not been vacuumed enough... we found cereal and gummy worms in front of the sitting chair, crumbs everywhere and the seat in front of the bed had crusted on jelly or food. I used my personal clorox wipes to wipes that seat down and also the walls behind one of the beds to clean up what appeared to be blood and boogers. It was very gross! Even when they mentioned our room would be "deep-cleaned" it was not. I just got tired of mentioning it. I hated being THAT guest.
The poor receptionist did all she could do to make it right - i appreciated that.
The hallways and entry way were always filthy with dirt brought in by the workers that stay at that hotel frequently. Dirt up all the stairs as well. I feel this hotel could improve on the cleanliness if they had cleaning staff always paying attention to those important details.
I expected so much more from a Wyndham!
I hate to write this type of review, but it was necessary. The front desk staff and manager were very kind and i appreciated their willingness to try and make it better, but it's like they had their hands tied.. like saying, it is what it is.
Unfortunately, i will not be returning to...
Read moreI was in a wreck on Monday, struck from behind. I called around to the hotels to find one with a hot tub and pool in working order so my kids and I could rest our bodies after the accident.
The other hotels were honest about their situations, but not this one. I asked, “is your pool and hot tub in working order.” They said a huge “oh yes of course!” So I booked. ONLY for the pool and hot tub!!!!
When we got there the place smelled like a men’s locker room and we never could get our key to work properly but we didn’t care. We were just there for the water and relaxation. We immediately changed and headed out to the pool area. Immediately I went back to the front to ask AGAIN the question I had asked already. Is your pool and hot tub in working order. Again, they said yes that I could just remove the solar cover. Ok, sure I will remove it. So I did and immediately found out it was in fact BROKEN, FILTHY and COLD! It was the temp the poop SHOULD have been. The pool was like ICE.
I called to the front desk to let them know it was cold and the SAME girl who already LIED to me TWICE said, “that’s what I was trying to tell you, we haven’t had anyone fix the bubbler.” Confirming, it’s broken. The entire reason I spent $150 was for the hot tub. I will not rest until I have been refunded every penny. The place was disgusting, dirty, smelled horrible. It was run down. But I would have been happy as can be if they just would have...
