Backstage Lounge — Local services in Hoboken

I don’t know. It was fine? We had a reservation. It took like 15 minutes to get to the host stand to get seated. There was like 3 people in front of us? It was also Valentine’s Day so I understand that adds to the chaos.

When we got seated our waiter came over and we ordered a drink. We watched every table around us get their drinks after seating after us. One even got two rounds in the time it took us to get 1. Took like 30 minutes to get our simple order. We couldn’t flag day out waiter so we stopped another one, paid then left. Would go back as I’ve been here before and enjoyed it, but $20 a cocktail for meh service...

I had an engagement party here and it was the best experience I could have asked for. Starting off, Nicole at Backstage Lounge was beyond helpful and an absolute pleasure to work with. She assisted with everything and made the day incredibly special. The venue, food, and drinks, all were fantastic. The venue was decorated very nicely for Christmas time and they had seasonal appetizer options and cocktail options. I would go back without hesitation to Backstage Lounge for another event and could not...

Love a concept like this in Hoboken. A little more relaxed and casual, and certainly more refined than the bars downtown. Good cocktail options and worth trying something new here.

The reason I give this place 4 stars is the lighting and some of the seating. The lights are a bit awkward and harsh in some places - I think they need more dim sconces and less spot lights. As for seating, some of the couches in the back are a bit awkward to sit on - can’t fully relax, can’t...
