Bruton's Outdoors North — Local services in Hochatown

I would give 5 stars because this had the largest selection and some really cool stuff, but honestly, the people seem nice while they follow you around, making you feel super uncomfortable like they think everything you pick up your going to steal. The first time we went in, it was only one worker, so we looked past it and returned the next day. It was only worse the next day. We spent quite a bit of money on souvenirs both days only to be treated like we were going to rob them. The second day there was at least 3 workers following both me an my boyfriend. Everything we picked up they would be right behind us to ask if they could take it up to the register for them to hold. Which could be helpful if it wasn't everytime we picked something up, and it wasn't just us they were doing it to everyone that we seen. Again cool stuff it's worth at least going, the people were at least nice and maybe they are told to do this to people. I probably will go back because they have a huge selection of big foot stuff. I just hope that maybe they try not to make people feel uncomfortable anymore...

Normally a fun shop. I shop here every time my family visits the area which is multiple times a year. I was very uncomfortable this most recent visit. Felt like I was being stalked around the store like I was going to steal something by multiple employees. Most of them were at least fairly polite while monitoring us (asking if they could take our items and hold them at the counter or asking if we need help over and over again). But one lady with curly hair never actually said anything and just hovered over us, or stood next to us pretending to count items, or angrily stared at us from a few sections over. We spend well over a $100 (not a lot I know, just saying we don’t just go in a look and leave) every time we walk in the store and much more when they sold firearms, but this was pretty annoying. I know this won’t be much of a loss to the store but I don’t believe we will go back anymore. I would encourage everyone else to check the place out though. It’s very possible they don’t treat others that way and something about my group made them...

BEWARE: Thieves work here ! I was shopping here and left my phone while checking out. I realized my phone was missing when I got back to the car. I searched around the car in the parking lot to make sure that I didn’t drop it while loading the $50 of merchandise I bought; no phone. I made 3 trips back on the store searching the area where I shopped and asking all the staff if anyone had returned a phone. On the 3rd trip, after I informed the staff that I was giving up and was going back to my vehicle to lock my phone using “Find my iPhone”, they miraculously came over to me...
