While visiting from Chicago, we stopped in to take a look around and found a fantastic selection of trail running shoes (which are really tough to find in Chicago!). They gave me a lot of one-on-one help and I could tell they knew what a trail ultra-runner needs. I felt like a valued customer, I received great attention, and got some helpful advice. I can't say enough good about The Outpost - my favorite store in western Michigan. I suffer from severe lower back stenosis and I needed a special pack and boots to make day hiking easier for me. The very friendly and knowledgeable staff took their time with me and outfitted me with an Osprey pack and Solomon shoes and boots. Wow, what a difference in hiking now!! My favorite place to shop for outdoor gear. Even when they don't have what I need they offer to order something that will. Always make sure I am pleased with my purchase. Everyone is always an expert on what they're talking about and the team work is wonderful.
