The Holland Courtyard Marriot was by far one of my favorite hotel experiences of recent days. I was consistently impressed by the cleanliness and stylishness of the decor. The lobby was beautiful with plenty of seating to relax at the cafe or to get to work using the high speed wireless internet available to all guests free of charge.
Our king suite was not large, but we never noticed. The functionality of the room was great. The couch and office chair both served their functions well while providing a place to relax and work inside our room. The balcony view was a nice feature.
The bed was comfortable. I am not an expert when it comes to mattresses, but our bed was not too firm and not too soft. It seemed like a great middle ground for comfort.
My only critique of the hotel was the noise penetration of our room. We could hear hallway noise as well as noise from surrounding room (And I don’t just mean TV sound.) If you are looking for an overly quiet experience, this may be something to consider.
My favorite thing about this hotel was it’s proximity to downtown Holland. The hotel is located directly on 8th street in downtown Holland, prividing walkable access to restaurants, shops, and great coffee.
Located on the main floor of the hotel is a small cafe and Big E’s sports bar. Between these two, you don’t even need to leave the hotel to eat or get drinks.
If you’re looking to stay in the Holland area and you are thinking about visiting downtown, I cannot recommend the Courtyard Marriot...

A work associate and I were in town for 2 nights and 3 days, and we both were incredibly comfortable and pleased with the many amenities offered by Courtyard. We loved everything about the hotel. The restaurant options on-site were great and incredibly easy to access. We also appreciated the smaller touches within the amenities, such as a "mini-market" for smaller items, appliances within the guest rooms to ease any stay, and a nice fitness center and pool to stay on top of our work-out routines while traveling on business.
In addition to a fantastic location downtown with plenty of access to local restaurants and shops, we were a quick 10-12 minute drive to our company's location on site in Zeeland. It was great to come back to the Courtyard Holland Downtown and it's stylish decor, with guest comfort at the heart of the design. One thing I loved, which may seem silly, was plenty of elevators to access. That can be an area of frustration when you are lugging bags around and have to wait on an elevator, but that was never the case.
I truly can't say enough great things about our stay. I would highly recommend this Courtyard location to anyone, regardless of the reason for travel. I could have stayed longer to experience the adorable downtown Holland location full of locally owned shops and restaurants with...
