We had the opportunity to shop at Seasoned Home while visiting Holland this week. The shop is adorable and has so many cute and practical kitchen items! We were welcomed by the two people working and offered assistance but we chose to browse a bit. Everything is clearly marked with the ingredients and price so browsing is easy.
It was a hard decision but we ended up with about 6 different spice blends and one tea. Tonight I made a sheet pan dinner and used the Sweet Orange Habanero on some chicken thighs. I was conservative because I was worried it would be too spicy but after cooking and tasting it I added a bit more! The orange flavor is really forward and the habanero comes in a little later with some good warm heat. I used Sweet Bell Pepper Seasoning and Dip on roasted carrots tossed with a little olive oil. The Cheese and Garlic Sprinkle went on oven roasted zucchini and the Red Pepper Grilling Blend went on my husband's chicken tenderloins. All of the flavors were excellent and next time I will use them even more liberally!
I made ice tea using the Strawberry Raspberry fruit tea blend and it was very refreshing. I can hardly wait to try the rest of the items we purchased. We will definitely be shopping in their...

Now, for some reason, that has changed. The owner now requires you to buy an even number of whole ounces. You can no longer get your spice bottles filled without buying an even number of whole ounces. So you're left with either a partially filled bottle, or a bottle and a partial bag of extra spices. I'm disappointed and the shop has just lost its advantage over...

The store seemed a bit cluttered, and I was slightly disappointed that it wasn't self serve (I love scooping my own tea for some reason, but I understand why it wouldn't be self serve.). I purchased 4 blends of tea, and in comparison to other tea shops I have visited, it was well priced. I tried one of the flavors I bought (Goji Berry green tea) and I will definitely visit again sometime. If you are looking for the tea shop vibe, you won't find it here, but stopping in is...
