I had a very upsetting experience at this location today. I came in to return two bottles of perfume that were brand new, unopened, and completely full. I had both receipts and the original tags. Despite that, a woman who I believe was a shift leader or manager approached the associate who was helping me and began inspecting the items in a way that felt unnecessary, accusatory, and frankly, demeaning. Mind you, the associate did not ask for her assistance and was in the middle of processing my return without any issues.
I shop at this Marshall’s weekly and spend a lot of money here. I have never had any issues with returns before, so to be treated like I was doing something wrong was completely out of line. The way I was looked at and spoken to made me feel incredibly uncomfortable and embarrassed in front of other customers. It felt like I was being racially profiled, and that is absolutely unacceptable.
There was no reason for the scrutiny I received, especially when I followed every policy and brought the items back in perfect condition. Marshall’s needs to take a serious look at how certain staff members interact with loyal customers and make sure everyone is treated with respect, regardless of their race or background.

Read moreJust left and was going to purchase a suitcase that had a tag that said “ you found it less than 69.00… But the Marshalls tag said 79.00… when it ring up as 79.00 I asked why was this huge 69.00 tag on the suitcases… ( several of the suitcases). If the original price was less than Marshall’s price, why sell it here? The Manager Ashley H. rudely came over and said “ it’s 79.00” And proceeded to say the tag much have been switched. When in fact there were several items back there with the same tag. Well she couldn’t even apologize for the mix up, she was very dismissive, didn’t offer an explanation for the tag mishap. Then proceeded to tell another staff member how the tags were switched. When I told her once again that it looks like the original tag just wasn’t removed, she snapped “ this is a conversation between us”!….. She’s rude, I love Marshall’s, but won’t be going to that...

I took both pair back to the store just hoping to exchange the busted pair. The store manager was very adamant that I had to have a receipt or original tags. She offered no other means to settle this. All i wanted was a store credit or to exchange the pants. She made me feel like a thief. So I left and called customer service and they said they could locate my receipt with my card number and the purchase amount. The store manager did not offer any of these alternatives.
