I love coming in to check out different makeup styles, they definitely have something for every occasion...but everyone who works there is SO rude-especially in the makeup section. I went in there today to look for a certain eyeshadow, they didn’t have it- no big deal. The heavyset woman with the orange hair in the makeup section was up my a** constantly asking me condescending questions, basically accusing me of being there to strictly shoplift! I’m sorry, if you don’t have the product I’m looking for you are not going to pressure me into buying 40$ mascara or lipstick or whatever, but just because I didn’t plan on buying anything didn’t mean I couldn’t look around at the new products that had come in since the last time I went there. Every time I come here I have the same experience with rude employees, I don’t know why I thought today would be any different. Maybe because I’m young, have unnaturally colored hair and tattoos, and am obviously not loaded with cash??? Who knows. Either way, it seems like profiling and it’s uncalled for. A lot of people my age seem to share this experience every time they enter the store. A friend of mine was in the store with me, and had picked up an eyeliner she was considering purchasing to wear for a concert we are going to tomorrow night. She wanted to look for a hair brush while we were there as well. She walked away from the makeup section to look at the hair stuff, and the heavyset makeup woman quickly stopped her and rudely said she would “put that makeup back for her” because apparently you can’t walk around the store freely with items you wish to purchase? Who knew! I can tell you what, they sure as hell weren’t getting any money from either of us today and they never will. Customer service isn’t dead, I don’t care if you wear 300$ foundation and think you’re all that, have some respect for other people. By the way-...
Read moreI have always loved shopping at Ulta. We typically have a fantastic experience here, and it's become one of our go-to places for beauty needs. However, our visit tonight was disappointing and not up to the standard I’ve come to expect.
Upon entering the fragrance section, I immediately noticed it was quite unorganized. Many of the testers were missing their spray tops, making it impossible for us to try out several scents that caught our attention. It's always a thrill to discover new fragrances, but without the ability to test them, it took away from the experience.
We arrived around 7 PM and, unfortunately, did not see a single associate during our first 45 minutes of shopping. It wasn't until 7:45 PM that multiple associates approached us, but it felt more like a hastily organized attempt to wrap things up rather than genuine assistance. We were informed that the store was closing at 8 PM, which added an unexpected urgency to our shopping experience.
As we quickly made our selections, and went to the checkout counter. This led to an uncomfortable situation where we had to stand in line while hearing associates rushing around, trying to usher everyone out and lock the doors. It felt chaotic.
While I appreciate the end-of-day rush and understand that closing time is crucial, it would have been better if we had felt more welcomed throughout our shopping experience. I sincerely hope that future visits will be more reflective of the exceptional service and ambiance I’ve come to love at Ulta. Here's to hoping for a better...
Read moreWORST. ULTA. EVER.
I have visited this ulta multiple times and have never had a good experience. Everytime i came in i was never greeted. The most previous time i visited i was blown away by the way i was treated. I'm 18 and look a little younger so i get mistaken as a kid a lot and i had an ulta employee (a man with colored hair and long nails) following me around. He never once asked me if i needed help and just followed me around. I was looking in the benefit lip and cheek tint and i picked it up and thought about buying it while walking around the store and then i returned to the section and put it back. I was then confronted by the man that was following me and he asked (almost yelled) DID YOU PUT THE BENETINT BACK and i replied yes (because i had) and he then walked away. after i had found everything i was looking for i went to the checkout like to make a purchase and i tried to apply the 20 off 100 coupon and they told me i was not eligible (i was spending over $150) which was okay and not their fault i guess. the same man that had been following me earlier then came up to the front and started yelling at a group of girls about if they put back something from charlotte tilbury and they replied yes. he then rampaged around the store, found something and came up to the front counter and slammed it on the counter and started yelling at a fellow employee. I felt very uncomfortable and unwelcome in this store. After i left i thought about returning to the store and returning the items o he bought but i was too scared. Please...
