Yesterday around noon I went into michaels in holly springs hoping to get something framed. There was no one in the frame area so I asked an employee when there would be someone framing, he told me a woman standing on a ladder would be able to help and pointed me in her direction. I went over to her and explained how someone directed me to her for help with a frame. She said “Ughhh they need to stop doing that. I am not scheduled for framing today.” Her unprofessional response made me already uncomfortable and it felt like I was really bothering her. Had she explained without the “ughhhhh” that she wasn’t scheduled to frame but gave me a time to return or helped redirect me to someone else, I would have completely understood. She asked what my question was. I explained what I was hoping to get done and she stared at me with an annoyed look before telling me I would need the photo in store because they would need to measure it. I had the photo in my hand but decided to just leave and go to a different location where I did not feel like I was an inconvenience. I believe she is also a manger at this location which is shocking. I’ve worked in customer service for a long time and would never expect a manager to act this way. I ended up going to the Crossroads location and had the best...
Read more10/22/2022 2pm: I love going to this store, but today left with a bad taste due to a Dept Head's treatment of a cashier & comments she made to me (unfortunately comments were heard by other customers). The young cashier who was assisting me was very nice & efficient; when she had a problem with a gift card I purchased she did as she was suppose to to do & called for assistance. The Dept Head'who came over was evidently having a bad day!! She told employee"I don't know who trained you as you don't know what you are doing- I see I am going to have to retrain you!" After many failed attempts by Dept Head she decided she would take my purchase to another machine. During this time she says " they are running the hell out of me today. Then says I don't see why they hired her; I don't think she will be here much longer. As the employee was just over one cashier I am sure she heard as everybody else around me did. KUDOS the young cashier at no time did she loose her cool & continued to wait on other customers. No wonder it's hard to find staff with this kind of treatment I would not work...
Read moreI was in Michaels on a Tuesday morning 11/12/24 in holly springs, nc. I was across the checkout aisle from someone who had a small dog that was unleashed which caught my eye. As I was leaving I saw customer with her dog on the counter talking to cashier. I asked cashier about dog policy of Michaels. She told me they could come in and when I asked about them being on the counter and wasn’t that a health issue she was snippy and asked if I wanted to talk to manager. Manager came up front and told me that they don’t sell food so dogs can come in. When I asked about the counter and that they sell candy she just said that they were allowed in. She was also dismissed me and said I could call corporate. I did call corporate and was told that their store policy is dogs are allowed because they don’t sell open food. They told me that it was probably unsanitary but doesn’t violate health code. Unsanitary definition according to Merriam-Webster ..unclean enough to endanger health. So bring your sanitary wipes and wipe off the counters when you go to Michaels or find another...
