My review today is for a disappointing experience with an employee named Sarah.
The lone checkout line was super long so another employee directed me to start a new one. I waited there for two or three minutes as the new line grew for someone to come and open up the register. Once she arrived, and to make things easier and expedite the process, I was holding open my bag for Sarah to slide the handful of items I had into. To my surprise she says “I can’t do that, I can’t bag your items for you“ and proceeds to throw them all over the cart, specifically making sure none go in the bag. I’ve never heard an Aldi employee speak that way and her tone was condescending and angry.
I tap my card and swing the cart away as she says “have a nice day!!” In a patronizing voice. I don’t feel inclined to respond with which I’m rewarded with “guess not” as Sarah scoffs.
I’ve never met this person before and I don’t know them, but they spoke to me like I had done them some wrong. I frequent the Aldi in Tinley Park and Orland Hills several times a week and never, ever had an experience like this.
Store is clean and organized, but some further training is warranted for...
Read moreHave always loved this Aldi (Homerglen location) They have great customer service have been going there for years. Unfortunately I had an unexpected bad experience with what seems to be new managemet. They seem to be newer managers I regret not getting names. The cashier and I had an issue about something that was being runged up. She bought it up to one of the managers. No big deal it was clarified then a second person (manager) came out asking questions. I said something to her regarding the mix up. She totally diaregaded me like I wasn't there and spoke over me to cahier. I was in too much of a hurry and good mood to make more out of it. Seriously what's the point of being rude to your customers. The male manager is always super pleasant...
Read moreALDI FOODS of Homer Glen, IL is a popular food store venue for saving money. I visited this store during the 2018 Christmas season and found it to be clean and well stocked. My son worked for Aldi years ago and claims the foods are good (if not better) as of recent years. They have a large selection of wines that are reasonably priced. I did not however recognize any of the brands..I enjoy the snacks they sell & the center isle of the store for finding interesting items other than food staples in line with the seasons. I picked up a chip dip that was fantastic and got rave reviews from my kids during Christmas... (wasabi-horseradish) I believe....hoping it is not a seasonal item...
