I had one of the most uncomfortable and insulting experiences I’ve ever had while shopping here. From the moment I asked for help trying on shoes, the employee treated me like a suspect instead of a paying customer. He only brought me one shoe at a time, acted like I was a problem for asking questions, and barely wanted to assist me even though I was asking questions about what shoes would best support my heels and which pair he would recommend for everyday walking.
If I was trying to steal something, why would I be asking for help and recommendations? That alone should’ve made it clear I wasn’t doing anything suspicious. Instead, he continued to ignore me and treated me with clear bias.
When he finally gave me pair shoes to try on, instead of just one shoe, he suddenly snatched the box away from me mid-try-on no explanation, no communication.. he just snatch it away as I was unlacing the shoe to slip on. As he was speeding walking away I told him “hey, I am still trying on those shoes” to no reply. I even walked up to the second guy and told him but he didn’t care and still treated me like I wasn’t anything but a suspect. I asked the second guy for a price on the second pair the guy left because I figure maybe this could work but I soon just left it given the experience so far left me in disbelief and I couldn’t get myself to spend my money somewhere, I was met with disrespect.
I later found out he assumed I was stealing, which was completely false and humiliating.
To make matters worse, the store manager shielded and defended his actions instead of addressing how inappropriate and unprofessional his behavior was. The store manager blame that it was a lot of customer and he was busy but the reality was it was me and two other people looking for shoes. She spoke with him and me and couldn’t take accountability for his actions and continue to blame me.
I simply just wanted to get a new pair of comfortable walking shoes since I’ve been having foot issues. This situation left me truly heart broken. 💔
This store desperately needs serious training on how to treat customers with fairness, communication, and basic...
Read moreWould like to share a very poor customer experience from a recent visit to the Waterfront location. On 09/22 at 6pm, came into the store looking for new soccer cleats for my child. After waiting roughly ten minutes for nobody to wait on us, we hit the “How may I help you” button.
After a few minutes a very put out store employee (blonde hair young woman) came along to gruffly show us an aisle with some random left over store models and then promptly left without saying “can i help size you” “might suggest looking online”. Must have been in some hurry to return to the front of the store (basketball section) to resume fraternizing with another store employee. Was 100% noticed, FYI.
As my child needed new cleats for an upcoming game, we picked a random (ugly) pair in his size. Proceeded to the checkout where the young man working literally did not say a word. Frankly amazed one can operate a register without uttering a word. Did not ask for my loyalty card, not a simple hello, not even a half hearted “find what you need”.
I get it, every business is dying for employees. Its a random/rainy Wednesday night with 4 customers in the store but this is unacceptable. Very poor experience and mad I actually had to purchase an item tonight.

Read moreI’m writing to share a disappointing experience from our visit today.
When we checked out, there were no other customers at the cashier. My 4-year-old son was very excited and politely placed the items on the counter for the cashier to scan. She gave no response, which we thought was fine at that point. However, after scanning everything, as we prepared to pay, my son held out his hand clearly wanting the item we had just bought for him. The cashier saw this but completely ignored him again—no acknowledgement, no gesture, nothing.
My son didn’t say anything, but he was on the verge of tears. As an adult, I believe the cashier could have at least offered a simple word or gesture, especially to a child who was being polite and enthusiastic.
We’ve been to many other Dick’s stores where the staff were always welcoming and helpful. This is the only location where we’ve encountered such impolite service. Honestly, it made us feel unwelcome, and perhaps that’s why this store was so quiet on a...
