They get three stars because the guy who answered the phone for my call in order and dealt with me when I came in was very nice and personable. I called the order in and they said it would be ready in 15 minutes. I arrived about 10 minutes after the call. Waited outside for another 5-10 minutes and went in, my order had not been started. I parked across the street in the Aldi's parki6loy and they were not busy at all. The cook was on the phone walking around the floor and outside most of the time that to waisted acorss the street watching. I topped to get some wings for my boys night with some friends. I don't eat chicken but they said it was over cooked and tasted like it was old oil. It looked really dark and not like fresh fried chicken. I stopped going to their restaurant in Homewood over a year ago when they had a Food Inspection warning on their front door basically saying this is a health risk eat at your own discretion SMH. When I inquired about why they failed they all acted like they didn't know and said it was stupid and something about trash in the parking lot and the patrons making it nasty. I went on line to see whe the Health Department had found... No wash sink to wash hands, oil not changed properly and not disposed of properly, rodents and roaches, food temperatures not correct... Just Nasty AF. I will never eat at another one of those...

I’ve had the wings there before. They are ok. The reason this place gets a bad review is because they have an automated phone payment system. I used this system to get wings on Thanksgiving. The website said the Homestead, PA location was open, and when I called the automated phone payment system it took my $65 order. I drove to the location and noticed it was closed. I called the next day and they said the phones should have been shut off and I would get a refund, but they weren’t sure when. I called multiple times, came to the location multiple times, and every time they said they would issue me a refund. The last couple times I called or came to the location, they said there was no manager but they took my number and said he would call me. This happened 3 times. It’s been 3 months and still no refund or follow up. I couldn’t dispute it with my bank because the bank needed more information that Hook Fish and Chicken would not provide. The wings are ok, but I do not recommend supporting a business that steals from its customers! You can find better wings...

First, there is no dine-in option, it's a walk-up counter. (some of the reviews say that dine-in is an option..)

Second, the food was great! My Dad was visiting for his birthday and loves fish, so we came here and got the 12 piece cod family dinner. They made it fresh while we waited - the price was reasonable and the fish, fries, and coleslaw were great!

Third - I was really impressed by the friendly service. There were two guys working while we were there - ran into the first one as we were parking and asked if it was ok to park in that spot - he gave me a friendly assurance that it was. As we were ordering, the second guy asked my father if he'd like a seat while he waited (it's a walk-up counter) and he brought my dad a chair from the back. We really appreciated this attentiveness.

We told them we were there to celebrate my Dad's birthday and they wished him a happy birthday and chatted for a moment before we left. Overall, a completely positive...
