ANA LOUNGE — Local services in Honolulu

While I haven’t had the chance to visit many lounges at Daniel Inouye International Airport, this one stands out as my favorite so far. The staff is exceptionally friendly and welcoming, creating a warm and relaxing environment from the moment you enter. The food options are tasty and well-presented, with a decent variety to satisfy different tastes. The small bar, though limited in size, offers a solid selection of beverages. What truly sets this lounge apart is its peaceful atmosphere—it’s never too loud or overly crowded, making it a perfect spot to unwind before a flight. The ANA lounge at DKI Honolulu airport is a great alternative option to the United lounge for Star Alliance GOLD travelers. The ANA lounge is recently opened (May 2019) and is fresh & clean, a stark contrast to the United lounge. Great food is available and Kirin and Long Board beer on tap...no auto dispenser like in Japan, and no noddle bar☹. For those flying United, the ANA lounge is located at gate C4, on the other end of the terminal from the United flights. If you have time for the 10 minute walk, the ANA lounge is worth the steps. Accessed with Thai Airways Gold (Star Alliance Gold) flying out of HNL 3 separate times. Plenty of seating and great views of the action on the airport apron and runway. Food was pretty good but didn’t change for my 3 visits. Loved the Açai bowls though! Their HNL lounge is better than their NRT lounge in my opinion. Keep in mind they only open the lounge for their own flights - the flying Honu to Narita and the second flight to Haneda and then it’s closed for the rest of the day. And also it’s a long walk from the G gates where the other star alliance carriers...
