I got Gel-X nails, not sure if she did medium stiletto or long almond. While I loved the finished look, it was definitely something I could easily do at home. I had called to ask if they did polygel/hybrid gel, which they told me that they did so I made an appointment. When I went to my appointment a nail tech immediately placed acetone foils on my nails to remove previous product. As I was sitting there with the foils already on my nails for 5 minutes, the tech informed me that it was an extra $10 for the removal. She did not inform me before placing the acetone. Then I was told that they did not use polygel and I would be getting Gel-X. While I was disappointed, I had already come this far and felt I couldn't back out at that point. A different nail tech took over and started prepping my nails. She filed down my natural nails so low that it was painful. I understand that the surface of the natural nail needs to be scratched up for better adhesion, but this was excessive and ruined my natural nails. She applied the Gel-X Nails and painted them milky white, which was my request. I was not picky with the color, I let her choose. It was an extremely simple request, no designs, nothing extravagant. I loved the finished result, but I didn't $90 love it. This is absolutely something that can easily be done at home if you want a simple solid color and have experience doing basic nails. The $90 didn't even include the tip. I did feel like my nail tech rushed at the end because she had another customer. I definitely would not recommend, I'm still trying to heal my natural nails which are now paper thin. I think any up charges should be stated beforehand, that is just common sense. They were kind and I felt they had overall good customer service. Way too expensive though, especially when I was only getting a solid color on the Gel-X extensions. If you want Gel-X nails, do yourself a favor and buy it online and do it at home, it's a very simple process even for a beginner. A pack of the gel-x nail extensions costs around $20 to $30 online, and it comes with enough to do multiple manicures. Overall a waste of money, but I was still happy with the result which looked identical to the picture I showed the nail tech. I definitely would not recommend going to the salon and I will not...
Read moreI've had my nails done here a few times already. I really wanted to try it out. They helped me figure out which kind of nail treatment I love as well as what shape works best for my lifestyle. I absolutely LOVE getting gel-x nails here! With each set of gel-x, they last literally 3-4 weeks without any lifting or any breaking! Its also so exciting to see that they constantly try out new designs and have a huge variety of nail polishes. I love that they don't just favor one type of nail polish line. Last time I went, I used some colors that were vegan, nontoxic, etc and the quality is just the same as mainstream brands. I also love the care taken into making sure my nail shape is to my liking. My nail beds are uneven so it can be difficult to make sure my nail tips are "straight". I also get my pedicures done here. It's soooo nice. Now that the summer heat is here, I can sit and totally relax right in the A/C while getting a hot stone massage on my legs. And let's be real, the salon looks amazing. Definitely going to be...
Read moreHad a great experience getting a walk in pedicure here so I decided to come back for a removal and full set… I live somewhat far so I left my house early and then got a notification that my appointment was moved back 45 mins… cool whatever went to the mall. I get to the salon and when I sit down the girl says she has a client after me so I’ll probably have to get a solid color vs. the design I want again im like bummer but okay it happens but now im already feeling like a burden here. She the starts looking at my nails and turns me away because of a hangnail I had. I’ve been getting my nails done biweekly for 10+ years now and this has never happened to me. I’m prone to hang nails and ingrowns that’s part of the reason I go to professionals to help me. I’ve always had techs be mindful of inflamed areas or advise just doing a removal and letting my nails breath etc… never been straight up turned away
There goes the majority of my day and leaving with no nails :( (middle finger...
