Why City Mill when the big box stores are right next to them? Well, if you have an older home (usually anything before 1990) in Hawaii, or have an unusual part that needs replacing, this is the place that will have it. You will pay a bit of a markup on specialty items. However, for those niche items you cannot get anywhere else (even on Amazon), this is where you'll always end up in Hawaii.
Sales staff is usually hit or miss. Some of them are wonderful, and some people...are far less than wonderful. Not a dealbreaker, though. A lot of experience and expertise on staff regarding local construction and solutions, when you are lucky enough to find a great employee.

Four and a half months ago, I purchased a cordless angle grinder, which worked well until yesterday. The rpm had slowed, so I changed the battery, thinking I was low on battery power, but it was the tool. The following morning, I brought the entire tool and receipt for return. The service center referred me to a supervisor. I explained why I was returning the tool, and she asked if I had the BOX. I didn't have the BOX... then she said that she couldn't accept the return. Who, after four months, keeps the tool's BOX? Don't buy anything from City Mill. I'm never going back. If I could leave negative stars, this...
