A dishonest company that truly doesn’t care if your flowers are to your liking, or even alive once you receive them as long as they get your money. And will refuse a refund on a technicality. I read other reviews about how when certain requests couldn’t be made, they called and let them know a second option. However, that courtesy was not done for me. A simple request of no purple flowers if possible resulted in poor customer service, dead wilted flowers, and a refusal for any way of making it right because “it was not guaranteed”. I’m pretty sure spending over $900 should have a living flower guarantee. I could tell when my complaint was made, that they was extremely money hungry and was waiting for my displeasure to tell me that they was planning this theft. It was almost like my asking for no purple flowers guaranteed them a lump sum of cash in their pocket and send whatever flowers was going to hit the trash later that day. Then, after refusing to try and come with a resolution, staying silent on the remainder of the phone call, and no longer accepting phone calls from me (the supervisor never did call me back). They also tried to have my Yelp review taken down and drag a different company’s name through mud , claiming I had reviewed the wrong store. Rest assured, HAWAII LEI STAND BY BERETANIA FLORIST is the thieves. No confusion here. To get honest reviews taken down, you have to at least attempt a solution. Or at the very least apologize for the main reason of the phone call; an order that wasn’t made to order, with poor quality flowers . Pictures are to show the dead men’s leaves, and the mismatch mother daughter crowns in the wrong colors, and specifically said to use the same colors for both crowns (which even if colors can’t be guaranteed since that’s the argument you want to give, why couldn’t the same flowers be used for...

We all know how lei for special occasions are meant to be that special touch of adornment that are representative of culture and tradition. Unfortunately this was not our experience when receiving our pre-ordered lei that we purchased and paid extra to have delivered to our home. That was a mistake! Because while the packaging was beautiful, packed with an ice pack, and the words perishable on the box, we opened the box to find the ice pack warm to the touch and the top-leaf wilted and the tubarose tips brown. We thought to try and revive the lei, cut brown tips but in the end it would have been more embarrassing to wear the lei than not to wear one at all. While we believe this Company made a great effort to provide us a quality product , they can’t guarantee a good outcome for deliveries so please just pick up your lei so as not to be disappointed AND out the $100+ to pay for all of it.

While we as Customers didn’t request or expect any type of reimbursement at all, we are absolutely impressed that this Company would be so concerned as to compensate us for what we deemed more of a delivery issue. The lei, had we not have had the unfortunate delivery situation, would have been beyond our expectations I’m sure. The packaging most certainly was! Given how Hawaii Lei Stand chose to positively react to what is likely a one-time unfortunate situation, we are amending our review and wish to extend our sincerest mahalo to this local Company that has extended their aloha and been a true example of customer service. I was in a bind when two main land florists couldn't source a ti leave lei in time for our son's doctoral graduation. I found Hawaii Lei Stand one day before we needed it and spoke to Max who incredibly helpful! Not only could they get it to Portland in time, the price of the lei(s) and shipping was reasonable. Max worked with me to ensure the order went out that day, before FedEx picked up for the day.
