Mediocre. Just my 2nd time going here. Some were good some not great. Most of the items I feel are overly priced. The only reason I’m writing a review is because of my weird experience yesterday. It’s mostly that I felt bad for their cashier, a young lady. I don’t know if she was new. Regardless, the other worker should not have scolded/corrected her at that moment. The young cashier already rung me up and I’ve paid $18.80 charged with my cc but asked for a bag which I paid with cash .21cents, I think. She corrected her right there and then and told me she’ll need to void charge and ring my purchase over because apparently one item was charged wrong. I ended up paying $22.83 which is fine. I was just aghast at how she handled it! People have feelings! If it was my bakery, I would’ve just let it go and talk to cashier in private. And as a good will gesture just let it go with original charge. It left a bad taste in...

One of the OG bakeries in Honolulu, Epi-Ya changed owners during COVID but is still going strong.

I've visited this bakery whenever I need dinner butter rolls or pastries for work. They offer a large variety of pans, buns, and rolls at reasonable prices.

Like most bakeries, grab a tray, tongs and wax paper near the entrance before you start grabbing your pastries. Out of respect dont take a pastry and put it back. Grab what you will buy.

I highly recommend this place. The service is often slow, even when it's busy, but the amazing smell and vast bread options give you plenty of time to wander around until you're ready to buy.

I was going to take more pictures inside but it...

We go to this bakery almost once a week especially for the Banana chocolate Croissant.

I also liked cinnamon roll but very pricey for what it is I thought. (Overall, everything is pricey compared to the mass produced ones, of course....)

The Anpan is ok, if you prefer sweet beans to be very sweet, you will like theirs. Since the Anpan bread is already sweet, I find it is too sweet for me.

We like their wheat bread, country bread and baguette which we buy on regular basis.

Breads are baked fresh onsite and the shop has...

Always a happy customer at EPI-YA. This place is usually packed and busy (understandably). Their bread and pastries are always fresh and delicious. You can tell while you eat that they use quality ingredients and know what they're doing when it comes to baking. The moment you take a bite, the bread starts to melt in your mouth and is very soft and fluffy. Their savory pastries are filled with flavor, yet not too salty or overpowering. Their sweet pastries are light and just the right amount of flavor and sweetness, where you want more.
