My son had a great time on this tour. Tour guide was engaging and friendly and shared many spooky stories from the past to not so long ago present. We rented the EMF reader which definitely kept my son’s interest through the tour, especially when it would go off like a ghost was responding. We were able to photograph a few green orbs where the orphanage was, I have included the images here. I would recommend for older kids. It was a bit harder on my youngest with the time and the tour stops. This tour is not in the safest part of town with homeless people around almost every corner and lots of yelling and arguing while on our tour. With the kids it made me uneasy but kept aware of my surroundings throughout the tour.

I’m visiting Honolulu on vacation for the first time and decided to do another first and go to a ghost tour. I love all things paranormal/supernatural but I haven't been on one before so didn't know exactly what to expect. However I got more than what I was hoping for on this tour. Lon was an amazing guide with a natural sense for storytelling and personal history in the area which helped make his presentation captivating. I was hooked on every word as I saw beautiful buildings and learned the haunted history behind them. 10/10 would recommend. Thank you Lon for making the experience so enjoyable!

Kathryn Is amazing! Great story telling and really provides that aloha and Hawaiian spirit. She is the very best, we could not ask for more from her. She really made our night and experience! The why a 4 star and not a 5 is it was hard to hear her at times, due to street traffic as the locations are on a busy road. The tour could only be better by the tour group giving the tour guides the clip on mic/microphone. Also I love a good tour book with old photos of the sites and people. Those are my only two suggestions. Thank you for an awesome tour!

Wow! Maggie was absolutely spectacular! This was a last minute booking for my spouse and I and we could not be happier! Maggie greeted us with a huge smile and obvious enthusiasm. While waiting for the rest of the group to arrive she engaged us in conversation (where we were from, what other tours we have done). It was so genuine and authentic, we felt super comfortable and excited for the tour to start. Once we began Maggie gave us an engaging and interesting history of Hawaiis hotspots and encouraged questions from everyone. There wasn't a single moment that Maggie did not appear to love her job and the chance to share her knowledge. I often worry about guided tours because while I do want to learn I don't want to feel like I'm back in school. With Maggie we were kept on our toes with each story while also learning so so much. Not only that, she made us feel like we were friends. She was interested in seeing our photos and hearing our thoughts on each topic we covered. It was like hanging out with a good friend. I would recommend this tour to anyone and everyone. And definitely bring the kids. Many of the stories could get creepy but Maggie was able to tell them without overly scaring anyone and making sure to keep the younger ones feeling safe but...

We were excited to embark on the Honolulu Haunts tour, but unfortunately, our experience did not meet our expectations. Initially, we had trouble locating our tour guide, as she was not wearing the attire mentioned in our confirmation email. Additionally, the meeting spot was poorly marked, making it challenging for us to find in the dark, especially since we were unfamiliar with the area.

While the tour guide shared some interesting facts, her storytelling was lacking. She frequently inserted personal anecdotes that felt irrelevant to the tour, which detracted from the overall experience. The tour had great potential, but it became clear that the guide may not have been the best fit for this role.

On a positive note, we were relieved that the tour was reasonably priced, and we did learn a few new things about Hawaiian folklore that we hadn’t known before. Overall, while we appreciated some aspects of the tour, we left feeling a bit...

We ended up being 15 minutes late to the meeting spot but our tour guide Colleen was so kind and didn’t make us feel bad about it. We got started right away after she went over the rules.

Colleen is a natural story teller, she dove into the history, paranormal and architecture of the buildings! She was thorough and easily matched our energy.

I absolutely enjoyed our tour with Colleen! There was one part were another tour guide, I don’t know her name but she walked to our tour group and made a comment on how we were the 7pm group but only so far into our tour. I guess we weren’t going fast enough for this other guide? Colleen apologized for the interruption, and continued the tour.

She answered all of our questions and didn’t make us feel rushed even though we were a little late. Thanks for the unforgettable experience Colleen and Tunder (her little dog) who has the...
