If you made reservations, expect a long wait to get inside. Socks for Adults, absolutely not safe for Pregnant women. Have a fast Toddler, watch out for certain areas of the play equipment.
My Husband surprised us with Reservations for us to take our 2 year old son to the NEW Kid City Adventure. As we excitedly arrived, we had to wait behind a couple of families that had been checking in for awhile. Worried for not having the full 3 hrs as we reserved for we were getting anxious and quite disappointed. We finally reached the receptionist and she seemed to not be having a good day. She rudely asked if we had filled out the Questionnaire Form and my husband responds with a yes for all 3 of us. She continued to tell us we hadn't and needed to complete the forms on the iPad. Frustrated for the long wait to get checked in to seeing a front desk receptionist who wasn't having it we had no choice but to compete the forms. When we returned another young lady assisted us and finally we were able to get through. Front Desk needs more people to assist guests. Before heading to the play area we had put on our socks and left our belongings in a locker that wasn't functioning properly. Be completely sure that your locker is FUNCTIONING PROPERLY or else you will have belongings taken.
Let's start with the first floor! My son absolutely loved the area and surprisingly jumped around in the bounce house.
Now the second floor is massive! Loved the different play sections. So glad we did the 3hrs because he just couldn't get enough.
Main concerns, the challenge of the blueprint. The gray y slanted floor before going down the slide in the maze is not level with the other floor piece and poses a trip hazard (my heart dropped as my son tripped and fell).
The swings are set too far out to where children that are on it can slam into another child running by (my son had booked it and nearly got hit running towards the ball pit area.
The water section, our socks got wet. Jumper house right next door had been wet from kids who went from the wet area to the bounce house.
To use the bumper cars had to go all the way downstairs to pay for ticket rather then taking it right there and then.
The laminate flooring is so slippery with socks on, I'm pregnant and had to walk funny which caused my lower back and hips to be painful for the rest of the day. The boys restroom had urine on the floor by the urinals and kids were stepping in it and running back out to the play areas (GROSS)! This was brought to the attention of a supervisor in black shirt and the urinals are too high for toddlers that are potty trained.
Overall our 2 year old had a blast and we hope our concerns are addressed for the sake of the safety and health of...
Read moreFriend reserved a room for her 3year old birthday party. I had brought my 9month old twins in their twin stroller. They asked me to leave the stroller in the stroller area which I completely understand but they were twins and we had a room reserved and paid for. It would be hard to manage twins who are yet to be walking at the party without their stroller. It would be hard for me to be carrying both twins.
But for me it was more the tone of voice in the manager I’m assuming. And I wasn’t aware that I had to be wearing socks so when I got chased down from the manager I didn’t mind purchasing the socks there but it was the tone of voice a lecturing voice.
Then 45minutes before the party ended the worker comes in to tell us we need to start cleaning up. She assisted in taking down all the decor and wiped down all the tables. Again it was her tone of voice. It made us feel unwanted and like it was all about the money and not customer service. We paid for the full 3 hours for the room ALOT of money only to be uncomfortably pressured to clean and leave 45minutes before our time was up. When I approached the lady she shared that it was in the policy regarding 30 minute clean up assistance. But she was there earlier than 30minutes and it wasn’t a “let me help you clean” it felt very pressured where I felt uncomfortable sitting down attending to my two sleeping 9month old twins in the stroller. She share that we can still use the room until 7pm but I told her how can we use the room if you are trying to clean & remove everything even off our tables.
I then asked her how would you like me to leave with my stroller because the manager brought me through the curtains. She shared that they normally don’t allow strollers in at this point I ran out of patience and told her “I know you all lectured me but the manager allowed it so how do you want me to leave with my stroller because I don’t want to get lectured again.”
I’ve been to kids city before but never to a reserved party room and let’s just say it was absolutely not a pleasant experience with them. The sass, the tone, the lecturing, made what was suppose to be a fun experience not pleasant and I felt very unwanted and pressured to leave the reserved and paid 3 hour room.
I completely understand that they need to enforce their rules as we signed waivers and such but their delivery needs to be worked on and not make a person feel belittled and unwanted.
I’m planning on writing to them directly and also calling them tomorrow. Just to let them know how their tone of voice can make a huge difference when enforcing...
Read more7/16/2023 I haven't been to this location in a long time. Honestly I've been going to Keiki Kingdom since they opened. I heard Kids City (KC) had some new things like a zipline. Had to try it out.
For the zipline, it's very safe and kid friendly. There's 3 staff present... one to help with putting on safety gear, one on each side of the zipline to help attach/detach kids. Helmet is optional, but recommended. My girls (aged 5 and 7) loved it. When you get tethered on, the kids can go to either side to head towards the zip line launch spot. It's basically a simple obstacle course to get there. Once to the launch pad, worker pushed them across. It's not a steep decline or or anything, so most of the force is from the worker's push.
One problem... zip line is only open for ~30 minutes on the hour. After, that, they close it for 30 min. Not to clean or anything, but I think so staff can be used elsewhere. In other words, you only have once round at the zipline per hour. Make use of it.
Other things added include a steep red slide (same as Keiki Kingdom but this one at KC is much smaller, and you don't slide into a ton of inflatable plastic balls at the bottom).
There's a wall to climb, like you see on those ninja obstacle courses where you have to run and jump to grab the top and pull yourself up. 2 different heights.
There's also a large donut slide. Just like Keiki Kingdom, but KC's one is longer, but less of a decline. One problem with this, there's only 4 donuts. There were kids sliding down, then picking it up to use again, when there's definitely way more than 4 kids waiting for their turn. They need staff to monitor it, Or get more donuts. I kindly asked some kids to hand over the donut to the next kids, but those kids either refused or just ignored me. At this point, I normally look for staff if around, or talk to their parents.
KC also added a rock climbing wall. It's not super high, but...
