We had an absolute blast on our turtle snorkeling tour with Paul and Hannah - it’s like hanging out with your best friends who happen to be locals. They made us feel so safe and comfortable from the second we met and took care of everything making our experience a pure joy and very personal.
Being on a small speedy boat for 6 passengers max was an absolute thrill and not even comparable to big boat tours. We had an early morning tour and that is the way to go to avoid swells and crowds at the Turtle Canyon.
Paul is the best guide you will ever have - fun, knowledgeable, caring and just such a cool guy! He guided us through all our snorkeling expedition and we saw more turtles that we could count and were surrounded by all the varieties of fish schools! It was absolutely magical! We had Paul’s attention at all times and he was guiding us making sure we will not miss anything. And we sure did not! What was absolutely amazing is that when Paul saw we had two 8 years old kids with us, he paid close attention to them and even pulled the kids on his rescue buoy the WHOLE time! Our kids are great swimmers but with the current it was hard to swim for them and Paul pulling the kids on his buoy made their ( and ours:) ) snorkeling experience so easy and fun! With all that Paul also made stunning videos of our family snorkeling surrounded by turtles and fish schools that look like videos of National Geographic. He even dived deep down to film for us about ten turtles resting on their nest on a bottom of the ocean.
When we got back on the boat Hannah took us closer to a Diamond head so that we could make beautiful family pictures, guys offered us snacks and drinks and kids even received stickers and little souvenirs.
The best snorkeling experience ever. Private! Personable! Fun! We are so grateful to our crew and will be absolutely on board this tour every time we are in Oahu. Thank you for our magical life time memories Paul and Hannah and we can’t wait to see...

Can you then please explain to me how it says you just issued the refund yesterday (date and time stamped)? No other email you sent me prior to yesterday had that! Additionally why are ALL phonecalls from my phone going to voicemail, but when we used other numbers you conveniently picked up?
DO NOT USE THEM! THEY TRIED TO SCAM ME OUT OF MY MONEY!
My wife and I booked this tour company when we were in Hawaii to go snorkeling. On the day of the tour, about an hour before we were going to head to the pier, the captain of the ship called and said the conditions were not good and that he would have to cancel and told us to call their office and let them know. I called the office and when they had no openings for other days, requested a refund (which they agreed) and I thought that would be the end of it, but that’s were it only just began. I got the cancellation email.
Two weeks later when I was going through my bills back home I noticed they never issued me the refund. So I called them and they said that they did, but will do it again. I waited and they sent me an email saying they canceled and I should get a refund in the next three to five days.
THREE WEEKS after that, still no refund. I tried to call numerous times and I was sent straight to voicemail. I had my wife call and it rang and they picked up. So not only did they not issue me my refund after THEY canceled, but they blocked my number too! After “contacting billing” which took all of thirty seconds, he said they did issue the refund but will do it again. This time I made sure they put refund in the email.
Long story short DO NOT USE THEM! They tried to steal my money after they canceled themselves and blocked my number to make sure I couldn’t contact them. And after reading some of the comments after I returned, it looks like I am not...
Read moreWe had the pleasure of trying out Diamond Head Cruises right when they opened under new management. We booked the 2-hour semi-private morning tour with our friends visiting from overseas. The tour is guided by two staff members who cruise you along Waikiki and then to various snorkeling spots. I appreciated them accommodating our request to allow ample time at each attraction, as this was our first boat tour in Honolulu. I particularly liked the unique style of their boat, which features both traditional and saddle-type seats. I enjoyed the saddle-type seats, as I felt they offered the best experience for galloping through the occasional choppy waves.
We’re locals who frequently drive by Waikiki, but cruising along it from the ocean side gave us a completely different sense of appreciation. Our first stop was at a snorkeling spot with Diamond Head as the backdrop. We stayed for about 20-30 minutes, which was just right, as we were eager to try our luck at spotting dolphins and whales. As we left the snorkeling area, we were greeted by spinning dolphins all around our boat. They swam so close that we were able to capture some underwater footage of them. On our return cruise to the dock, we were fortunate enough to see a whale surface in the distance.
If seeing giant turtles, dolphins, and whales swimming by isn’t enough, you might even get lucky and have the boat owner—travel and lifestyle celebrity vlogger Cedric Lee @passport_ced—on board with you. He is well-traveled, adventurous, and fun to chat with.
Overall, we had a pleasant experience with Diamond Head Cruises. It’s reasonably priced for the experience, and we will definitely be back with other...
