Ward Village — Local services in Honolulu

Used to go Starbucks to drink coffee an talk on telephone sometimes in day sometimes at night so I could call Washington DC at 3:00 am. 9:am there time till one morning a over enthused guard told us to pack up an get off the property but used some explicit words I didn't move fast enough an was violated an picture taken I posed for the picture. So I left came back at 4am to get more coffee an make phone call an play on my phone I used there plugs but not there Wi-Fi. No one ever told us we had to leave the lani when they closed. At 9am a new guard female ran up to me told me I was in violation an in not so many words I went back in store she followed act like she was going to mace me then called cops an had me arrested for tresspassing. No one at Starbucks said anything to stop it. I used to spend when there about 20$ a day buying coffee an eats. Sometimes I'd get food next door or down street never in 2 months did anyone at Starbucks tell me or anyone else that was there using the power or Wi-Fi from closing to opening. On the lani. Spent 24hrs in jail 6months later go court not guilty verdict but the woman that had me arrested was at another place that I frequent she told me she'd have me arrested again if I came back on ward property's which is 63acres she violating my rights so be careful this guard an the other ones I guess was out to make a name...

I love this place. Not only is it beautiful but it also is enjoyable to just walk thru. I especially LOVE the Ward Village courtyard!! You know when times are hard and you need a family event, WVC IS THE SPOT!! So far I took my ohana to the HOKULE'A talk story event, a movie-dirty dancing & waiting on a few more events to attend. John Mizo movie/documentary & Aunty Mel for her beautiful singing w/ another group added on. But the BEST PART IS... it's FREE thru Eventbrite. You must register to get seatings. Idk if you could just pop in, BUT I'd suggest for EVERYONE TO DO SO. Believe me... it's worth it. Mahalo to WARD VILLAGE COURTYARD. He place is beautiful & the hosts are very kind too. Happy Hour/Dinner at Bucca then Avengers Infinity War. Dinner was good. I recommend the happy hour sliders. And the gorgonzola salad off the regular menu is a little pricey, but worth it. Maybe not for everyday, but once in a while. The server at the bar was awesome until it came to the bill. But not entirely his fault. I told him not to take my friends' money and I gave him my credit card. Shortly after my friend tried to pay. The server said I already have her card. But when my friend gave the server a gift card, he took the gift card. I still said don't take his gift card we will be back and he can use his card then. But he still took the gift card. Customer service dilemma. But overall...
