Macy's — Local services in Honolulu

This store is the poster child for rudeness, incompetence and racially biased sales people ( and I use the term "sales" loosely). African-american customers are not welcome here and the employees are not bashful about making it known to the customer, especially at the cosmetic department. My wife and I stood at the Chanel counter waiting for service , while the sales girl completely ignored us , gave my wife a dirty look ,and gave her full attention to white customers only. It was the same experience with the Lancome and other sales counters. We could not believe this overt racism. It's clear that Macy's management tolerates this behavior and may even encourage it. I guess the employees at this store think that because they work in Kahala that they are special and don't have to show courtesy to African-american customers. We will not shop there again and I encourage others ,who abhor racism, to shun...

Yes, I did visit Macy's that day to complete the day's timeline . In visiting a friend at the Surfrider, I was invited to go swimming in which I realized I had no swimming trunks, or at least couldn't find a pair at that moment. Because of the time factor I needed to go somewhere close to pick some up, the ABC store was actually the closest place, but their prices on that idem would be like shopping at Nordstrom, I said I better go to Macy's I'm sure to find a sale on them, and I did. I found a good pair on sale for , 18.99 and because of the cheap price I bought two pairs. I don't think a moment goes by without Macy's having a sale...

Nice, big 2 story Macy's at Kahala Mall. An "Anchor store" for this mall no doubt. This is notable as the much larger Ala Moana Mall isn't that far away and they have a Macy's there too. This might not seem like much, but they pulled another of the previous anchor stores "Barnes and Noble" which now forces you to go to Ala Moana since that is now the only B&N. Kahala is an easy to navigate inside mall with perimeter parking and a parking structure right next to Macy's so you can usually easily find convenient nearby parking.
