A wonderful bookstore with a well-curated collection of local authors! It has been hard to shop for souvineers while on this trip. I really believe in the Hawaiian sovereignty movement, and understand the damaging effect of overtourism. As such, I only want to support native-owned and local businesses while I am here with family- no mass-produced souvineer stalls or chain restaurants. I am so glad someone recommended this shop to me, as well as a few specific artists. Mahalo!

I love the selection of books by Native and Local writers/artist. I was impressed with the variety of genres: history, food, culture, politics, literature, and memoirs. I especially enjoyed browsing the children's book section. The crew there were also so friendly.

A wonderful bookstore that features local authors and artists. Service is warm and personable, and the selection is vast. If you’re looking to dive into Hawaiian history and culture, this is a great place to start/continue your journey.

Last Wednesday I was out and about basically reminiscing. Touching the walls, bricks , the structure of these buildings are going to last forever. This store... kindness of this woman asked for me to come in. The door opens the smell 🌿🌱🪻🍃...then..🌬️🌬️.. anxieties went right out the door and I removed my footwear, habit! Then sat right down on the stairs best seat in the house breathing in calmness..then to say Out loud " this is a safe place to be". You smell it, promise You'll feel..it. Do yourself a favor? Go there and see for you may just find a book? That was meant...

By chance I found this bookstore while in the area during an outing. I am glad I decided to go. Lots of books related to the Hawaiian Language, History, Culture, Mythology and more. The employees were more than helpful and went out of their way to guide me. I would reccomend this to anyone interested in these topics and will be sure to reccomend this...
