Village Market — Local services in Honolulu

Stopped by to grab a couple of groceries and when I went to check out the lady tells me "oh I just closed my register" and calls over her coworker who then tells me "she didn't know you came in she closed her register already." So I'm standing there confused because the register IS RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE DOORS and she was standing there when I walked in. They tell me I can't purchase my items and did not even try to accommodate me or apologize. ALSO their store closes at 930, it was around 920 when I walked in. Not only were they closing the doors and registers early but the employee was so incompetent she said she didn't see me walk through the door. I love this little local market. The people who work there are so friendly and kind and always make me feel appreciated as a regular customer and part of the neighborhood. They have a little bit of everything here, but don't expect to find everything you could at a larger grocery store, because it's fairly small. There are some surprisingly good prices on certain items (alcohol is pretty cheap), and other less popular random items are there in a pinch but can be a bit more expensive.
